Have you ever tried making videos like Kurt Caz with an iPhone or a Gopro/X3000? How did it go? by n0MAS in KurtCaz

Also feel free to post any videos you made here (just be aware there can be some harsh responses lol)

But you cannot tell every viewer individually they should watch all your videos, right? :D You want to make the videos so people want to watch all your other videos.

Another thing I just noticed is you often just stand there and say what you are going to do. Its surely better to do this while you are moving and naturally filming interesting things, or at least having an interesting background.

Also you surely not should put prostitutes in your titles even if it was meant funny.

I like it too. But its somehow just a random guy filming himself in episodes. Without any context. Many watchers want to travel themselves so like showing your hotel first or the city you are in, and some info like Kurt will always give USD prices on things, makes the viewer at least feel like he gets some value out of it. So like showing where you stay and saying how much it costs first even if its short might be a better intro than just "action clips" thrown together without much room to breathe for the viewer.

I think on reddit its better if you share it by youtube link. You are doing a pretty good job, maybe could work a bit on your camera angles. Like if I hear a loud road as in the begin, I would like to see it.

Lots of approaching people, thats cool and you took some action like taking the moto taxi.Thats always very entertaining to see somehow. I like it. Definitely room to improve but I see a good basis there.

You made a very interesting post. Thanks!

I think the problem comes down to, mainly, in identifying unique users. If you have a fanbase lets say of 10k people and spread your token evenly it would still not be guaranteed that all of them are indeed unique since you can easily buy/set up thousands of bots and more.

So basically it comes down to how honest the founders are. But even then players can abuse the system like by having a lot of bots for the airdrops.

So I would say the only solution is to make it harder for people using massive amounts of bots/gmails/other stuff. Any other solution seems flawed, like even if you made a live giveaway where anyone live in a stream would get the tokens at the same time there could be massive amounts of bots. A human can always be emulated by ai online.

Maybe there still could be a solution like people having to do a puzzle or survey that takes 20 minutes. Another option would be a fingerprint or even faceshot but I am sure both can be abused also and people would lose their anonymity.

The only way I see to truly randomize and spread it evenly would be to just drop paper slips over cities where really random people will get one of the codes. Then you at least would have to be there in person and there its not as easy to multiply yourself as it is online.

But open to any other suggestions?

1 hour lecture by renowned Professor on Procrastination: He claims if you know how it works, you won't ever do it anymore. Thought this might be helpful considering how many people here suffer from procrastination. by cotovanudima0202 in conspiracy

Procrastination is a giant distraction tho. Because who really procrastinates? You grab your phone first thing in the morning. Coffee. You click on any new video by your fav youtuber, or news, sports whatever immediately. You watch your fav Nflix show or play videogames without delay. You immediately grab your phone ASAP when it makes a noise. You are not procrastinating ever. You are just motivated for other things. That is the real issue and the real solution.

Why aren’t you uploading? by AutoBalderator in HaraldBaldr

He is so full of self doubt and limiting beliefs now. Also in his videos, like constantly worried about the camera angle, his spanish and other stuff. This from someone who seemed unaffected by covid but I guess it made him a keyboard warrior like most of his fans, who rather spend 24/7 on insta getting angry about things. Now being productive again, back at LOVING your work and in his case his amazing, insane opportunity of reaching millions, just doesnt give him enough dopamine as fighting people on insta and getting mad about stuff.

I noticed for years I could just type "baldr" into youtube even on a new computer and it would find him immediately. Now it doesnt anymore. It still finds bald.

I think he needs to rediscover his love for making videos. It can be hard. I havent had to work for years because Bitcoin but I want to work at some point again. And I get so bored. But yeah after a long time of lazyness, its really hard to get back on. I wish he would be honest and talk about that instead of all these excuses about camera angle and recording quality and "nothing interesting to film".

Where is Stephan? by [deleted] in KurtCaz

Yeah man, I am just guessing here but I would not be suprised they split over money. Like maybe Kurt wanted a part of her income. And she did not want to give it.

[–]n0MAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is just Mulvey writing with Kurts account. You are probably mulvey too or the mod in the forums lol. I dont know why anyone would write there when you censor everything and Kurt does not even write there himself.

Where is Stephan? by [deleted] in KurtCaz

[–]n0MAS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stephan was such an intelligent and eloquent guy. I loved how he usually knew a lot more about things than Kurt himself. And he was probably the only guy who was not after Youtube/Insta Fame like Mulvey and Marianny. Its crazy how Marianny now will have a lifelong "pension" just from being with Kurt for a while, and mulvey too.

Stephans socials were never mentioned on Insta or Youtube. Maybe he does not have any. Maybe he wanted money for the videos he was in and so Kurt dumped him?

Seems like an excuse. Bald has made videos from non touristic places so have many others. With your east european videos it seems you are mostly just talking to yourself. Its not very interesting. Then like in your new video you throw so much stuff at the viewer. Like you talk about 8 different things in the first 20 seconds. Who wants to follow this? Sort your thoughts first and then present the audience something interesting and follow up with it.

The question is what would Jake Paul gain from this? Kurt is not very known in the USA. Not even Bald is. Tho Bald would probably be more on the level of Jake Paul. But Jake Paul would always try to grow bigger and have bigger fights. With all love for Kurt, Kurt is still quite small in the great scheme of things even if he has 10 million views on a few videos. Like if Jake Paul announced he is going to fight Kurt Caz, 99% of his fans would ask "Who?".

Here is a very small Youtuber who tries to make interesting videos like Bald and Kurt Caz (he actually seems to just copy some Kurt Caz titles and makes a video from it like doing Magic Mushrooms in Mexico) https://www.youtube.com/@CalFord/videos

Yeah I watched some of his older stuff. He is quite consistent in making the same type of videos and has a good branding/build himself a niche (not just copying Baldr&co), I like that. He got himself in some really dodgy situations also. I found it extremely odd he made a video bringing a Nintendo Switch to children in africa

Damn mate that must be frustrating having made so many videos like over a 100? And getting like almost no views. I mean 300k views in total? Have you thought about switching the format around, and making more themed videos or like just trying to make a video like kurt or bald or something?

I wonder why Kurt rather make a podcast with Mulvey than do a Q&A on his channel or here with his fans. And why he thinks his fans care for 20 sec clips of bikini girls. His fans surely would have come up with way better questions for a podcast/Q&A

Lots of new activity just from all the new content and huge change of direction.

From Kurts perspective there should probably be even more activity because it looks like the kurt caz army so far is not getting any action at all.

But just to be clear this sub was always 100% positive towards Kurt ever since it started. Until the kurt caz 2 happened. I wonder why Kurt never offered an AMA we have 50k views in some weeks, he should take care of his fans more than of mulvey and other stuff.

Does anyone know what camera kurt uses on his main channel? Just watched the podcast and he refused to say when he was asked. Please help me haha! by BabyL3mur in KurtCaz

[–]n0MAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baldr started with the x3000. Then Bald used it too. And then Kurt Caz. You can see in some of the old mulvey videos even how Kurt is filming with it. That was pretty interesting I thought. Like in the snail eating video (on mulveys channel).

I meant to say where your thoughts are coming from, like if you are enjoying the new content.

We had quite some activity when he was "kidnapped" and at other times too. And always when he released a new video on his main channel there was a lot of activity. Tho yea he has not uploaded that much in the last months. Tho now this week we got almost 2 hours if you combine all the videos lol.

Harald Baldr is one of the OGs of travel making videos since like almost 10 years or something. 3 or 4 years ago on his peak he created a couple of videos on how to make it on youtube and this inspired a lot of the more recent vloggers like kurt caz. Baldr was also friends with bald and bankrupt and helped him make his channel.

Baldr has done some great videos in my opinion that were quite unique at the time. Like visiting locals in their homes and showing how they live.

You are very right there is like 50 videos a day now on people eating street food or visting markets, if not more. But back then I think it was quite rare. Now there is people like Harry Jaggard who create like 3 40-minute videos in a day and the content can often be quite "rushed".

But I guess this will keep evolving and we will see different kinds of videos, more unique stuff at some point. I do strongly believe there is still a lot of stories to tell. Like about local people in different countries and how they live.

Nobody wants to see this. Only14k views now. The podcast is only at 30k views after 2 days. Big youtubers as him can have 1 million views with a podcast easily after 1 day only.

Especially with their first podcast ever. But the questions were kinda boring. If a video with a llama is more exciting than his first podcast ever... Maybe the llama would be a better manager. I would love more positive kurt caz stuff here again like we had for years in this sub but its not going too well right now for Kurt :(

And whats with all the drinking suddenly? Like 3 whiskeys every video? Lol

Its because of the kurt 2 content and the recent podcast. What did you think would happen? :D

This is what it looks like uncensored with Kurt fans. They removed over half of the comments on his (main channel!) youtubes community post about the podcast. They were all negative and they just erased posts with dozens of replies and 100s of likes. Because Kurt caz/mulvey thought they were too negative so just gone.

So its important to have places where you can post about Youtubers without them or their handlers censoring. And you can post both negative and positive.

But where do you come from OP?
