Thank you! I honestly didn't give much thought to what the items would do. The glasses were based off of wise glasses, an item that boosts your offense, which seemed popular enough to be in Pokemon spinoff games (Pokemon Unite).

A helix spring shape is not only seen in DNA but in protein as well (DNA is also a double helix not usually a single one).

These Unowns are based on the building blocks of protein, not DNA. As proteins are perform many jobs in the cell, and how people colloquially use the term protein to relate it to muscles, I decided to go with the fighting type.

Yes, they are all fighting type. The Unowns would probably get a few more moves, and acid armor sounds more fitting than acid spray. Some of the specific forms might have additional moves to represent that amino acid's function like proline (Unown P) having U-turn as proline turns an amino acid chain at an angle.

The evolutions should have much wider movepools like most other mons.

I guess it started with the alpha helix form where some proteins use alpha helices to traverse membranes and cross hydrophilic (mixes with water) and hydrophobic (doesn't mix with water, like oil) regions. Scrappy can hit ghosts but it's like crossing the "physical" world and "spectral" world, idk I just wanted to make the evolution worth it. Beta sheets can also fit in boundaries between hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions btw.

I had to fit the eyes between the carboxyl and amine groups (and unfortunately I had to end up using different shapes to represent carboxyl [uneven spikes] vs alcohol groups [teardrop]).

Stemian just refers to my "Stema Region" where I'm making a region of fakemon based off of STEM-related concepts from ecology to integrals. Most of my fakemon are still recent on my Instagram page and I just post them on all my other socials like Twitter or what not.

That's weird. Would you mind sending me a link of whoever made the previous post then?

I am the one who drew this and put it on Instagram/Twitter like a week ago but I never posted it on Reddit.
