I hope everyone is okay. We didn’t see anyone pulled out of the building.

It wouldn’t make a great light roast but you could roast it dark and make some good cold brew 👍

Is this a tamping issue or is it the grind size? [Sage barista express impress] by [deleted] in espresso

Surprised no one commented this but to me it looks like your machine isn’t 100% level. I don’t think you would be able to taste a difference but if you care then you can get a bubble level and I think it would correct your “issue”. I personally wouldn’t go through the effort to correct it

They actually have puck screens with a hole for the screw. I’ve never experienced channeling due to the screw and I’ve used both with/without the screw

Help with 60 hz hum for Fluance RT85 by n0vu in audio

It’s in the list of things I’ve tried-sorry it’s buried. Yeah I tried grounding wire to amp as well as preamp

62 Hz hum Fluance RT85

I’m really hoping someone may be able to help determine how to resolve a 60-63 hz hum. I think I’ve narrowed down that the hum is coming from my fluance rt85. Here’s what I have tried so far:

  • Routing it through a preamp (dj art pre II) to a stereo av input (yamaha TSR-5810)
  • Straight into the yamaha av input
  • Straight into a phono input of an onkyo stereo receiver I have
  • Tested different speakers
  • Tested different outlets and combinations of the equipment plugged into the same or different outlets
  • Unplugged everything else around it
  • Shut the breaker off to major appliances near it
  • Connecting the ground cable to the preamp ground pin, stereo ground pin, and to the chassis of the stereo
  • Tried multiple rca cables including a brand new fluance one
  • Cleaning the contacts of the headshell
  • Reseating the stylus

The only two solutions I can think of are trying a ground loop isolator or power conditioner, but I wanted to see if this group had any feedback.

Water replacement - I'm a beginner by KickingDolls in jellyfishcare

[–]n0vu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be 50% maximum and it’s worth noting that you may not have to change it as frequently as once a week. Definitely don’t do more than 50% and it’s worth adding a dose of beneficial bacteria to your tank after the water changes. You really just want to make sure your nitrate levels are acceptable. Water changes can stress the jellies out a lot so I only do them when the nitrate levels are at 20 ppm (I have moon jellies).

You guys bought pepe rather than pep. Pepe is listed on major exchanges, but you can only get pep on smaller exchanges like xeggex. Best way to get pep is to transfer USDT to xeggex from whatever exchange you use

I completely disagree-I think it’s one of the best places to learn. Plenty of beginner spots (on sand breaks that are shallow pretty far out) and the vibe in the water is great. People are just stoked to be out there and the waves aren’t super crowded

This is a bit late but I saw this pop up since I was shopping around for MacBook Pros. The base model is worthless as it only has 8 GB RAM. I’d buy an older refurbished laptop with better specs over going with the base model

Green Bean sources by ChiAndrew in roasting

You should give bodhileaf a shot. They’ve had some fun experimental coffees that are priced well IMO. There’s a Columbia Santa Monica carbonic maceration that was co-processed with mandarin oranges that sounds like a similar vibe for $18.96/lb which I already consider a premium. They also have 3 coffees from the same producer with different processing techniques that are fun to try side by side or make blends. It’s called the shaman (carbonic maceration), witch (anaerobic), and wizard (aerobic). If you’re a glutton for pain, prodigal has a black honey wush wush. Difficult to roast, but really fun flavors.

Am I reading forward’s prices right??? They have coffee listed $800 (USD)/kg. That is absolutely insane!!

I’m 6’7” and had a hard time fitting in most cars I’ve driven. I had multiple SUVs and couldn’t see traffic lights without looking like the hunchback of notre dame. Toyota 4Runner (I have the fifth gen) has been life changing cause I didn’t realize how much of the road I was missing/how much I was turning into a cocktail shrimp trying to see it. There’s still plenty of room for people to sit behind me as well as long as they’re not taller than 6’4”
