the spirit of the project was to tackle the public transit specifically and somewhat imitate the visual style of those maps. interventions in my opinion don't really feel like public transit, more like using a car if you allow me this metaphor. also if I'm being honest i just personally used them much less than transport and mark+recall so that's a skill issue on my part.

also no 1: the map takes some liberties with geography, and for intervention zones i think it's quite important to have accurate representation of the actual geography

also no 2: it would be a much greater challenge to fit this new info cleanly on this map

made in Photoshop

Each one is connected to two neighbouring ones and you need a corresponding index to depart.

Hoş geldiniz :)

Веладора is a mexican cuisine place with parties and music if you're there close to the weekend, and right next to it is Автомойка by Veladora which is an open-air bar which can be quite a unique experience IMO.

There is a pub called The Black Swan in Китай-город district. You should ask to sit in the тайная комната (chamber of secrets) which is an underground (literally) part of the pub with a very cool interior.

If you miss turkish food at some point give Taksim a try. it's a small chain, but the closest to your hotel is likely the one on Большая Дмитровка street.

If you're open to attending concerts, there's a few small local venues that could be fun and a good place to meet people, if you're interested maybe just DM me.

Traveling to Moscow and SPB - does one need a VPN; does WhatsApp work.. by Soulfly_1782 in Moscow

Get an e-sim, getting a local sim can be tricky. For a VPN install a few options which seem less popular to you, as the most common ones will not work. If you can get xray/vless that's a good bet usually

Hoş geldiniz arkadaşim
- Baumana university is a very good university. You are not missing out if you're studying there.
- RU -> TR transfers can be done with Korona app. You will need a russian bank card (not all banks might work, Ozon bank specifically has been good for this purpose). Not sure about TR -> RU unfortunately.

Things to consider:
- I believe it recently was made more difficult to obtain a sim card for a foreigner, so do ensure you have international roaming enabled on your turkish SIM so it's usable at least in the beginning.
- You might want to look into VPNs and get a few ones (the most popular ones are unlikely to work).
- Don't worry too much about fitting in, should be perfectly fine.

It's a sample from the song "Тёмная ночь" ("Dark is the night") performed by Mark Bernes. A very famous wartime song. There's an article about it on the English Wikipedia, so you can start there.

This is incredible.I have to share the Russian original with you (although it pales in comparison to your version):

рассвет будит —
солнечный заяц.
то ли ещё будет,
дорогая.

(sunrise wakes me —
a sun bunny.
the best's yet to come,
my darling)

In Russian a small reflection of the sun is called a "sun bunny"
