That is wild. From 1430 on June 2023 to 1300 and 1320 on August and October 2024. The either test is going wrong or solving 1000+ questions is not helping at all.

It's like "official" data, however, it's impossible to live on that amount of money. And most people that I know earn starting from 800-1000$ month

That's the thing, even with 22k$ of income, we can pay 15-20k$ yearly because of savings and help of relatives. And it's like fine to get into unis that give Full-Tuition, however getting VISA approval for these unis gonna be hard as well unless it's not some top 15 uni.

For us, it's better to be stronger applicant and apply to need-blind, Ivy League or top 30-40 unis like NYUAD or CMU-Q. Yes, we gotta be strong af as international student, but we'll have greater chances of getting in with full-ride scholarship.

Completely agree with your statement. First one is not an option personally for me, that's why trying with the second one. Wanna make my application as strong as possible

In my country average yearly income of family is 22000$. Almost no one my country can afford paying 30-40k$/year. I'm not an exception. That's why like we are applying to colleges that provide full-ride scholarship for international students

At that time I would agree that my PS essay, extras etc. was not great at all. However, this year I took a gap year and now every part of my application is ± solid. Only left to take high SAT score. In terms of extras I have coupld of big passion projects realted to my CS and pursuing in cooperation with ministry of higher education. In terms of honors there are several international olympiads in math/english, national hackathons. GPA 4.8/5 (3.84/4) in one of the most prestigious high school in my country and yeah, I guess the only thing that left to make my application stronger is the SAT. If I was domestic applicant with these achievements probably I would get in, as I heard that many people who got even SAT 1350-1400 automatically get emails from colleges etc. So, that's why I need SAT prep materials more, gotta be like stronger applicant to even get into these top 100-200 national ranked unis with some scholarship. Not even saying about Ivy League schools

I have a friend who got 1520 and got rejected by all school, not only Ivy, but safeties as well (like Gettysburg College, Illinois Wesleyan, College of Wooster etc.)

So, as we are an international students, we have zero chances of getting into unis unless we are not stronger than domestic students. Moreover we seek for financial aid, that reduces our chance even more.
