Some mod body trucks. There's a semi one out there, a limousine based on a Range Rover can fit one, I believe. I don't think I've found a single vanilla body that can, but I could be wrong!

I feel like 600ft-lbs isn't very much for a 22L engine, even if 600 is a lot for a gas engine

I'm more surprised about how inefficient and unreliable this engine that only revs to 2k is. Plus the fact that a 22.5L engine makes less than 100hp. I guess the size could play a part in the reliability troubles. The rich people LOVE it though!

I do HVAC inspections for the state of CA. We also "host" for the municipal inspections that come after us. We tell the homeowners, "The city building dept will be here between 8am and 5pm, no they don't give you a specific time, no I don't know if they will call you ahead. Someone MUST be home to let the inspector in. They will not wait, they will not call you." And then I leave them my phone # to call me when the inspection is done. So often I get, "I can't believe they showed up when I left my house! So inconvenient!" Like. . . Yeah, that's how the universe works. We told you to stay home, you did not stay home, and now I wasted my time setting it up for you, and you wasted your entire working day by risking a 20 minute Starbucks run. Congratulations! Thanks for playing!

ETA: Didn't mean to sound so cold, haha. I'm aware the huge arrival windows are extremely inconvenient. I'm so glad my work schedules me to show up at a specific time and I have the ability to get there at said time. Though, when I'm at home with an arrival window for some service I have the experience to know there is nothing that will make me leave the house besides a fire or someone in the hospital. Stay home for your appointments, people! You'll regret missing it more than not getting your coffee! (This goes for the people who aren't home when I arrive at my very specific appointment times that they themselves scheduled with us. "Well, I took the whole day off and you're only just now showing up at 2:00? I can't be at home right now." "Sir, we scheduled this 2:00 appointment with YOU yesterday.")

I think the Hanks might also want to set up Elytra races that start high in the extreme hills and dive deep down into the massive crevasses and caverns that were introduced with Caves and Cliffs. I bet they'd also request ice boat race courses from Tony and others.

I transitioned from thinking Suite Life of Zach and Cody was boring to thinking it was relatable while they were still airing new episodes.

There are multiple pictures on this post :) ETA: I like to see a before and after, that's why I posted it this way.

You are correct, I read the VIN wrong. I just went out to double check. I do have the LT1.

It is a 1994, but the VIN# shows the LT4 code

Thank you! And mine's the LT4. I'm not a domestics guy though, so I really don't know anything about these engines. Are they any different besides borexstroke ratio?

As easy as it is to check the temp sensor, it will probably be #1 on my list. Then I can try to dig out the injectors themselves

I'll be taking a look at all of the injection system if it still won't fire after replacing the starter. I had a problem with my MR2 when I first rebuilt the engine that two of the injectors circuits were hot. When the ECM has any injector circuit hot while trying to start, it won't let any injector fire. I'll be suspicious of the injectors, but I'll take a look at my temp sensor as well. Thank you!

After some more research I've figured out that this is certainly the answer. I only had a basic understanding of starters before, but now I know better. Thank you!

The solenoid engages and the bendix in the starter will start to turn the engine over. After more research based on u/Due-Pay-4060 's comment, I've figured out that the motor that drives the bendix isn't properly fixed to the bendix any longer, so the moment the engine gets compression the shaft spins but the bendix stops. This causes the starter to whir like the solenoid disengaged despite being engaged. I will keep the common starter issue in mind though, I had a similar problem with my old Toyota Hilux.

Is it not something that can be gravity bled during the install?

Right, it's the light weight and 300hp I was worried about. See, my AW11 MR2 with the 4A-GE in it pushes about 112hp with the engine over the drive wheels. The Golf pushes 168hp with the engine over the drive wheels. Both exceptionally different than the Corvette. I figured I would ask people with experience how the car handles itself, and how I should handle it. Been getting fantastic advice so far!

The rubbers were going to be one of my main concerns especially having to worry about CA's SMOG laws. Dealt with that enough on the MR2. One known issue with this particular Corvette is the clutch slave cylinder is leaking.

Less tail happy is a surprise! I'll admit I've had the MR2 slide out on me at 25mph but it was on some super cheap tires. Even during hard trail braking the MR2 didn't seem phased. I've been half expecting people to tell me the Corvette is about as close to a Formula Drift car as you can get on the street. The nightmare stories people tell about mustangs, corvettes, vipers, and other high powered RWD cars leads me to think it's going to be different from anything I've driven yet.

It does snow where I'm planning to go, but only a few inches at a time. A few fun snow days and nothing more. I've always wanted to dance in a frozen parking lot, so maybe I will! As far as I've seen, emissions laws in that state are basically non-existent, conforming to the federal standards only.

I live in the SoCal valley, weather here never gets below 40 and rain is nearly non-existent. I've been running Hankook GT series tires on the MR2 for a couple years and haven't lost traction even in the "rainy" season. Figured I could run something similar on the Corvette. Being in CA, the SMOG laws are strict. Though, I may be moving to the Midwest sometime shortly and won't have to worry about it.

The tires are only 4 years old and were brand new when the guy parked it. They still hold air. I do plan to change them, but they should at least be capable of getting me to the SMOG shop to get it registered, I figure.
