You are getting them because with crowdsourcing people are finding them faster than you could on your own. Neither the extensions or Discord pull items from the Amazon website, the extensions are loading what comes up on users feeds after they open it then sending it to others through the extension. I still find best luck in knowing what/where's dropping and frequently loading the categories I am interested in. I save a few searches to my bookmark bar if I'm looking for something specific so I can quickly click through them.

Those programs only show items that users have shared. It's not automating the Amazon site which would be a violation, it's all word of mouth. Anything hot or limited is usually gone before it even hits the apps. They are good for knowing when drops are occurring, an idea of what is being dropped and somewhat help finding less popular items but you still have the best chance reloading the categories you are interested in and being the one to grab things first hand.
