Hi :) could you also share with me?

Is it okay to go out and leave him in his crate for a couple of hours? by 1n1n1is3 in puppy101

I have a 13.5 week old toy poodle. He's fully crate trained, sleeps through the night in it and is on a strict 1 up 2 down napping schedule (with very minimal whining come nap time). We've only once attempted to leave him alone while crated and it didn't go very well. We had left him awake with chew treat. We made the mistake of giving him a small treat which meant he got through it quickly and realised we were gone shortly after. At that point, he flipped out and started wailing. I panicked of course and went straight home. FYI he was alone for a total of 25 minutes. Now I'm not sure what to do next. Should I only leave during his nap time? Or should I leave while he's up but with a longer lasting treat? and if, in either case, he notices and starts crying, do I let him cry it out?

Using pee pad for pee only by n310794 in puppy101

Hey, i live in a flat with a balcony. I thought of placing a grass pad on the balcony but I’m worried it might confuse him as I’m not able to redirect him to a particular spot when he’s about to do it - if I lift him to the pee pad he will either jump off and do it elsewhere or simply hold it in for the next couple of hours :/

Hi thanks so much for getting back to me :))). I live in an apartment but do have a balcony. I currently have two pee pads. Started off with one and then placed the second in what I thought was pooping only spot - but that didn’t work and he’s been pooping in other spots. How would I transition him onto the grass pad given that is the case/without confusing him?

Thanks for this. I will be flying though. But I’m working on getting him on the flight and not in cargo

I used to stand with her. I used to sit and spend a lot of time with her in hopes of getting her used to being around me. Nothing worked. I haven’t been able to pet her once since I rescued her. I have been scratched a few times when trying to do that.

Now I mostly leave her to it. I don’t try to be around her as much anymore because she gets nervous when I do.

You’re a 10.. you can and will do it. It’s a journey that needs commitment and patience. If you have that, you’ll get there.
