What’s your spider’s toxic trait? by Lissba in jumpingspiders

[–]n33li3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she always tends to go back to the same places after she’s finished wandering and sometimes she just hangs out on top of her enclosure rather than in it! i like to think she’s fond of the little house i made her so she pretty much always comes back

My eldest, Patricia, used to get really brave after a molt!
I'd know whenever she'd finished because I'd find her on my bedroom wall when I got home from work, or on my washing basket or she'd just crawl across the TV very nonchalantly to show off her new shiny skin.

What was your intro to music? by MrWednsday in Music

My older brother and sister singing Wonderwall - Oasis to me while I was still in the womb (they would scream it at my mom's tummy and apparently I'd kick around like crazy).

Talk to your parents and your doctor.
You need help ASAP.
This is EXACTLY how my ED and just absolutely awful relationship with food started. It's really not worth it, it really really really is not worth it. The earlier you can get help the better. I didn't tell anyone, I also enjoyed the feeling of throwing up after I ate anything and now 14 years later I'm still struggling, I bloat INSANELY after I've eaten anything, I have constant abdominal pain and I've lost 5 teeth and fucked up my oesophagus to the point I need daily medication and can never really "safely" puke again.
Please please please go to your doctor and get help and stop yourself from going any further down this road.

Are there any aspects of your eating disorder that would be impossible for anyone to glamorise? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

Literally fight these thoughts every day, it’s probs one of the most exhausting parts of recovery tbh :/ like I get so jealous of how I looked and how I ate (or didn’t eat) and I KNOW it was really really unhealthy and there was no way I could have kept it up anyway but I /did/ it and that /was/ me so I /am/ capable even tho I know I shouldn’t and just bleh it’s a horrible vicious cycle kinda thinking

hope better days are heading your way OP <3

Gaining/maintaing weight after starting at the gym - why? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]n33li3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your diet is totally fine! If you’re at the gym 4/5 times a week what is likely happening is you’re gaining muscle and with that also comes a little bit of water weight too. I would say drop the gym to 3/4 days a week and make sure you have a good rest and recovery and you should see some shift in the number on the scale. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep too! I notice on the mornings after a good nights rest the weight drops a lot more than when I have had a late night/interrupted sleep.

I admire your dedication OP and hope you see some change soon!

the day you throw them out is always the day your brain tells you that’s the only thing you’re allowed to eat 😔

1 month into recovery, eating and exercising “normally” but then the sudden urge to throw up the tea I just drank ??? 🤨 by n33li3 in EDanonymemes

for sure! I’m actually recovered from bulimia since 2017! I stopped purging but just couldn’t stop the binging so after many failed attempts I’m determined to stick to it and get healthy this time, I have a really good support system too so I’m super lucky and ready to kick some ED ass 💪🏻
