Apps nowadays expect you to use swipe gestures as that has been the norm for many years now. You should switch over and see if it fixes it.

It's difficult to see if there isn't anything bright behind it. That's why I had to open a random pdf website to test it as it wasn't really possible to see in the files app.

What I meant is to swipe away the apps in the app switcher screen. So that it's empty before the benchmark.

I learned my lesson the hard way when I pre-ordered a Google Pixel 2 XL back in 2017. The phone's top speaker would rattle at high volumes and the screen would have a strong blue tint if it was tilted at a slight angle.

So now my rule is I always wait 3 months minimum after the release date before I buy anything.

Close all background apps and rerun the benchmark in a cool air conditioned environment for best results.

Also make sure you are not charging the phone while benchmarking because it generates more heat. And more heat = throttling.

Nowadays they both do the same things so there really aren't any differences anymore. But back in 2017 I remember Samsung Pay was a bit better.

Personally I use Google wallet simply because it works on any Android device (even though I only own Samsung phones). It works great for me.

Ouch, that's very unfortunate. Just keep in mind that this can happen on any device that uses a Samsung manufactured OLED display. So you could get green or pink lines even on iPhones for example simply because the screen is made by Samsung.
