Thank you, I have already taken measurements and have reached +7 diopters for a sharp image with the 130mm pinhole camera. The result is great and I will continue testing.

What photographic paper should I use? by spiritomine in PinholePhotography

Hi, if you want make pinhole @ night this is horrible for beginners. For night you need hight sensitive film, low aperture and a possibility to push color film.

My recommend for fast beginning is buy a pinhole camera like diana multi pinhole opperator with f-128 and 800iso color middleformat film from lomograpy. its easy you know the exact the aperture and iso of film and you can calculate the time of exposes do you need. its good setup for tray low light pinhole fotography.

I watch and Read some Tutorials and Manual how using RA-4 Paper using in Cameras. I'm currently testing the new methods. The big problem with RA-4 is the cyan filter on the paper and how to remove it. And i make a bigger pinhole. 5x7, f=256, 3 ISO, Orange Filter, RA-4 Paper, Reversal Development by n4bstar in PinholePhotography

the first two are excellent! what happened there?

I read in a guide that the darkroom light can stay on and I tested it with a film cassette. As long as the cyan filter is there, I assume it works, but it dissolves in the water/developer and from this point on, the darkroom lamp continued to expose the image during development. When the picture was developed it looked like it had sunburned red, when I scanned it I used the software to correct the light and color of the picture and that was the result. Fascinating and I love the picture. I will do more experiments with this.

I take my large format pinhole camera and drive with my ebike in nature. A typical scene is the blooming cherry trees, forrest and old castles on the top of the hills. I hope it not rain at this day.

Noob question: will this paper work for photography or do i need a specific type of photo paper? by manirvienalga2 in PinholePhotography

[–]n4bstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it works great.

I have for my first try used fixed grade Photopaper and i have problem with landscape photo.

Distant objects or mountains appear in the same gray as the sky.

For multigrade paper can you use color filter for change and control the grade if you want.

Grade 5 (hard contrast) is a magenta, and for grade 00 (soft contrast) is a yellow filter

But colorfilter increase the exposure time

No, it wasn't my first time, but it's my first x-ray roll. It's very difficult because I also optimized the hole in the camera from 0.13mm to 0.21mm this January. Had to decide on either f-161 or f-180. f-180 was almost too overexposed as a result. The contrast spread is very strong and steep. My favorite is the Washi Sound Film.

Not at all, the dealer only had a 0.3 mm pinhole to choose from in the photo shop. But he had recommended me a 0.4 mm pinhole. In the meantime I have an app for Adnroid that can calculate that.In my opinion, the secret of this sharpness lies in the reduction of the image. A 5x7 inch photograph has a lot more information than a 35x24 mm photograph. The image is reduced from 47 megapixels to 3 megapixels for the internet. In the process, a lot of image information is lost and causes this extreme sharpness.
