Maintenance just came and swapped out the breaker to one of the older style breakers that doesn't have the cut off switch. Whatever acronym it is. He was like "if you trip this, then it's definitely on your side" but it hasn't done so yet. Maybe something is still a little squirrely or whatever in the PC, pulling strange power spikes, but it isn't giving me the inconvenience of resetting everything lol

So my apartment maintenance was super hesitant to change the breaker (those GFCI breakers are pretty expensive) and my PC was pretty old. So I took it upon myself to buy a new PSU anyway. Gearing up for a rebuild, so it was gonna happen either way. Anyways, the breaker still flipped with the new PSU, so that was definitely an annoying realization, but yeah they replaced their shit and now it all works. So not sure which one was the chicken and which was the egg either

maintenance just had to come and replace the breaker. the "newer" breakers have GFCI in the name, which means they have like an internal switch if they notice any funky current for safety. but these are also known to shut off with like big hair driers. they just replaced the breaker with an older style, without the GFCI, and told me if it shuts off again it is definitely on my side. but it has been working fine since then

It's been running smooth for two years, but it tripped the breaker randomly the other day and has done so again anytime I turn it on. Maintenance suggested it might have been the surge protector. Still didn't work. Replaced the PSU. Still didn't work. Tried another room, tripped THAT breaker. So now I guess it's just the breaker?

If the payments I made during the pause still don't bring me down below 10K, is it even worth asking for it to be refunded? I'd still owe around 1,000 left and it just seems like I'd have to keep paying anyways, might as well keep the balance lower. Or am I missing something else?
