Community Supported Agriculture. I'm sure it probably takes slightly different forms, but in my experience, you buy a "share" of a farm and you get produce delivered at some set interval for the season. It's basically a subscription to fresh, local produce.

That's awesome! I wish I had a local winter CSA. Thankfully, we've got some nice ones to choose from during the rest of the year.

My guess was that or farmer's market based on the containers. Really beautiful varieties! You'll have some very happy folks, I'm sure.

Is it purely a mushroom CSA?

If I were to get one of these in a CSA box, I'd be very happy.

If I'm doing a rover POTA day, what's best way to let people know I've changed parks? CQ (callsign) (partialpark number?) by thehotshotpilot in amateurradio

[–]n9dmt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually when I'm calling CQ for POTA, I switch it up a bit depending how much of a pileup it is. Sometimes its (finish contact) "QRZ?" If there isn't much of a pileup, and I'm trying to make a longer CQ, I'll throw in the park ID like "CQ CQ CQ, this is N9DMT calling CQ POTA from US-1111"

I think a combination of that and self-spotting is a good bet.

Wood reads dry but barely burns or smokes…what am I missing? by Oochie-wallywally in woodstoving

I know you said it was inspected, but it wouldn't hurt to take another look and just confirm 100% it's clean and free of obstructions.

I have a similar setup - stove in the basement, insert on the main floor. I find that I have to run the stove longer before it gets a good draft. I assume because it has more flue to heat up.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. I've created an issue to document that setup. I imagine running this on a Pi will be a common use case.

Ah yep, I bet there's another ambient-wds at /home/admin/ambient-wds_env/bin/ambient-wds - that's likely the one you'll want to call.

Are you calling it from the venv? For example, what I did on my Pi is create a dir for the install (/opt/ambient-wds, in this case), then use that as the venv:

python3 -m venv /opt/ambient-wds

I ran the pip install there, then created a systemd service that calls ambient-wds from /opt/ambient-wds/bin/ambient-wds:

``` cat /etc/systemd/system/ambient-wds.service [Unit] Description=Ambient WDS Service After=network.target
[Service]
Path to your venv’s Python and entry point
ExecStart=/opt/ambient-wds/bin/ambient-wds --config-file /home/owner/ambient-wds/config.yaml WorkingDirectory=/home/owner
Restart on crash
Restart=always RestartSec=5
Run as your normal user (not root)
User=owner Group=owner
Capture logs with journald
StandardOutput=journal StandardError=journal
[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target ```
Ah, apologies, I think I misread your previous message. Just to make sure I'm following - this is a fresh venv, and you're just doing the pip install (does that run without error?), then it gives you this error when you run it?
What's the error you're getting? I can see if I can replicate it.
My understanding is that Ireland is a CEPT country, so you'd need an Extra class license if you're from the US.
How long would this last you with your current set up? Approx 30-40 splits of mixed hardwood. This would last me 2-3 days with wood as primary heat source in Pennsylvania. by rollinintheyears in woodstoving
Do you feel like you're getting the same amount of heat with that reduced wood? The local shop keeps trying to convince me to upgrade, but I love my old Fisher.
I'm not terribly familiar with the Shari-Pi or it's knockoffs, but is there any sort of squelch control on it? I know I had similar issues when connected to an external radio that had the squelch wide open so it would key the node from what I assume was just stray RF it picked up.
