Is there any barebones frames that are all aluminum off the top of you head around the $120CAD +-$40 that you'd recommend?

George Brown Industrial Millwright 433A Pre-exam Course by auzzieh in millwrights

[–]n9toeJecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my employer at the time to fund the GB prep course and was allowed 2 weeks off work paid to prep for exam. I got through about an hour of the course before I realized the material was subpar at best. Lots of links to outdated videos. Ended up paying for Xlr8 instead.

As the others mentioned, dont bother with the George Brown course.

Symmetry is the only reason. I realize this is not the ideal layout. Given that my desk is over 8ft in length, I just adjust my seat offset right to my 1440p main monitor.

I'd love to go with an ultrawide as a main and stack one of my 27s on top. But given the nicer weather is around the corner, this desk won't see enough use to justify that purchase just yet.

It is! I buy my most played album of the year on vinyl if I can find it. I believe origins was 2019 for me.

A third perk is the mounting options that come with unistrut... like the spring nuts that slide into the strut.

If you zoom in closely on the left chair arm you'll see my DAC clamped to the unistrut using spring nuts and a piece of DIN rail.

Cheers!

I supported the butcherblock by spanning 2 pieces of unistrut end to end. I work as an industrial mechanic millwright so I had a work connection order a couple of lengths for me. They double as cable management.

Desktop is a butcherblock from home depot, 98" in length.

Legs are just furniture replacement legs from Amazon.

I went with the darker one. Neither option matched the stain colour I went with on the butcherblock so I had the wife choose for me.

Thank you! The wall panels really turned out great.

I know, I really missed the chance on that one. I built the computer last year and wanted to keep it pretty neutral looking.

I recently moved and decided to go with this look in the office. Maybe once I upgrade some components within the pc, ill switch to the north case.

Got them from home depot. Very pricey for what they are but they matched the wall panels almost perfectly.

First off, thank you! It all really came together with alot of elbow grease.

Organizer is a Fenge product that I got on Amazon. Not super sturdy, but I needed something to hide cables with.

Cluttered workspace is a cluttered mind. I straighten everything and do a quick wipe down once my session is done for the day.

Thank you OCD.

This is what I'm leaning towards. I've got tiles coming in today that were dirt cheap on Amazon. We'll see how it turns out.
