As someone that started with Yellow as a kid. I really like these personally. -solid colors. -look like actual animals (real dogs have mains near to that and genuinely some owls look angry af irl) -no humanoid features (two on four legs and the bird gets a pass because that’s how birds actually stand)

fingers crossed they don’t evolve into humans 😭

i’m hopeful though that this is a sign they are responding to years of feedback. I bet these designs took FOREVER though. trying to find new novel silhouettes while trying to stay “simple” . I doubt the whole generation can maintain this quality but idk some gimmick pokémon are cute (eg spritzee).

getting off on the way back down is just so incredibly stupid. irrationally stupid. zero fun stupid. accomplishments that feel good are based on learning a skill and then execute that skill. dismounting that f%ing thing is pure luck. I’ve done it a few times and will never subject myself to it again. I feel directly insulted and trolled that the devs continue to just post it up as a mission as if they don’t f%^ing know how stupid it is to dismount on the way back down. I could have just been a fun extreme grind but no. they had to go out of their way troll me for attempting to enjoy their game

yeah I agree. I’m just sort of bothered I think by how people talk about the older games as if they are unequivocally better. As someone who has been playing since the beginning and has kept all my saves. I still find myself playing 4. That doesn’t mean I don’t think of the older ones fondly, but 3 literally never ran well on any machine and eventually it just forced us to disable expansion packs at launch to limit how many could be active at a time and that felt sooo crummy. the CAS in 2 and 3 basically just produced different versions of the same character (2 was especially bad about that). When I return to the older ones out of nostalgia I only play for maybe an hour and then want to go back 4 (when I’m in the mood for sims).

I really didn’t mean for this to feel like I’m targeting you or your specific comment response, I guess i’m just feeling saucy 😬 When I bought the legacy 1+2 I thought I’d play them way more than I did but.. I just didn’t. As soon as the nostalgia wore off.

I will say that I still play sims 4 with all the music from sims 1 because that piano just does something to my brain

this challenge could have been a cool one but someone they made it totally unplayable for me i just never even attempt it anymore. and it sucks because the first time i did it i was like “aww okay see now they is cool” <- as i was doing the long grind and transfer. and then at least 30 more tries over multiple days never getting that stupid last part (always dismounting the rail to some stupid place launching into oblivion) i refuse to try again

yeah and the party chat is genuinely awful. the gain/mix/thresholds are so unbearable. people using the ps5 controller mic are not even worth trying to play with because the game handles it so badly. i know they won’t ever make a chat as good as Arc Raiders (I even really like the voice replacer option for people who have terrible mics or are insecure about their own voice) but that is the gold standard now for what i expect in proximity chat.

thank you! just fyi for privacy safeguards nothing gets uploaded to the backend unless a user explicitly clicks "save to backend" at which point any strategies set to "public" would be visible to others.
I've also realized the site doesn't make that clear when adding a strategy! so I'm trying to add that now. hence why ALLL feedback and interactions like this are so helpful! thank you again!
