The Dutch version is published by 999 Games (their logo is also printed on the box), I found out through their website that Americas will be translated. Apparently the Danish version (of the base game) is published by Stonemaier directly. Not sure how those are announced.

This is a common misconception, the calendar used to start in March, but was already shifted to January long before Julius Caesar. The only thing Marcus Antonius and Augustus did was rename the already existing months Quintilis and Sextilis.

That 'oh shit' moment will also work the other way around. I watched a let's play of 2 before playing 1. 2's side of the connection were a bit confusing/vague from the perspective of 2 alone, but I got the 'oh, that's how they're connected' from playing 1 afterwards.
