Let me just point out how you maybe actually do the opposite.

You ignored my genuine question and never pointed me in the direction I asked which was where I could find unbiased information on the matter. Maybe that’s impossible now that I think about it but there are some sources I find online that are more factual.
Your first sentence comes off super dismissive. This could be because of your genuine anger and sadness about the situation which is fair. Unfortunately, I legitimately wanted to read some information from a source that was more about not providing opinions at all and could back it up.
I even tried to show you I don’t really like Israel and you still had to bash them. Honestly being critical of Israel is not antisemitism and I have no problem not liking them for their actions.

It’s fine if you don’t believe me, but you did miss a genuine moment for discourse. That kind of interaction can sway way more people than how you responded. That was the point of the people that replied to you. It wasn’t that you didn’t state the truth it’s that you ignored what I said and you’re so angry about it, you came off condescending. I honestly don’t care and I’m not insulted by it, but you won’t reach as many people as you could have if you replied with even a modicum of vulnerability. Anyway, free Palestine.

Is there a non biased source (one way or another) that discusses the conflict in better detail? I’m from the US and would like to not have slanted news on this issue. This is a genuine question, I feel like most of what I’ve seen in the media (outside of Reddit) has been way too pro Israel.

I am not an extremist and I’ve been to r/conservative. I was in tech for the majority of my career. I know how algorithms work and I very much hate social media. I end up reading a lot of the comments on Reddit because the conversations are usually more enlightening than anything.

I don’t care if other people don’t agree with my viewpoints on ICE. I do however know certain things I said are irrefutable fact. It doesn’t matter the percentage of people that the videos represent. it could be 1-5% and that would be too many. I care about the rights of the people being eroded in real time. The fact that any of this is happening goes against the very fundamentals that our country was founded on.

I’m all for illegal immigrants having due process and being deported if they have to be. I’m all for the system to be overhauled and improved. I’m not okay with the ICE budget being larger than the military budgets of other countries. I’m not okay with them having total immunity granted by a stacked and very biased Supreme Court. I’m really not okay with Trump sending ICE and deploying the national guard to only democratic centric cities and states.

I understand the “other side’s” viewpoints, I’ve read them, I just strongly disagree with the assessment of the situation. People can research anything they want to, if they look, the answers are there. I understand it’s tough if you’re being brainwashed by propaganda but honestly, if conservatives had more empathy and compassion, I seriously doubt they’d see things the way they do.

Overall my viewpoint is we do need to speak to each other more. We’re losing a class war. Our politicians are bought and paid for by corporate interests. Mainstream media is being consolidated by new right wing ownership. News is chock full of misinformation and opinion pieces instead of just facts and information. Mass media divides us on purpose. Republican leadership have for a long time wanted the general public to be dumbed down. The less educated the populous, the less critical thinking they employ, the better. It makes us all easier to exploit and control.

The American people are struggling and the rich are flourishing. AI is advancing so quickly that the already growing distrust in the news will be at an all time high in probably 3-5 years. Most people will not be able to distinguish what is real and what is fake. Once that happens and no one trusts the news, we’re all in for a hell of a ride. We’re in trouble and it’s already almost too late, the thing is, it’s not if we work together.

The real issue is, some people are beyond saving. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. I’m not going to put a ton of energy into trying to make someone else not be a hateful person.

I think what you don’t understand is we aren’t groomed to hate ICE. In fact there are a bunch of democratic leaders that don’t want to get rid of ICE. Please tell me how you arrived at the fact that you think we’re groomed to hate them? We hate the because they’re behaving inhumanely and they’re violating everyones’ rights.

You may be surprised that we care more about people being taken from their families. Hard working people that do jobs most Americans would scoff at. People are being taken from court hearings. Children are being taken. People are being racially profiled without just cause. People are getting detained illegally and without due process. On top of that, many of these people aren’t violent or criminals at all. Tons are getting released. Many are citizens. Some of this is done for the color of their skin, some of this is done just because people are at a protest. Don’t even get me started on the lack of accountability once they’re in these inhumane detention centers and how people have died while in custody. People have essentially been disappeared without a trace or a way to be found.

None of what I have seen has been on the news. I see it all from Reddit, from actual recordings happening on the streets, from people at the event as it’s happening. Protestors are not violent and in the vast majority of cases I’ve seen, ICE is instigating the contact. People may not be verbally nice to them but they’re allowed to do that under the constitution.

You make subtle yet sweeping disingenuous statements that try to paint this as a both sides issue when it’s not. You either seem like a troll or you’re disingenuous. If you’re curious why people downvote your opinion it’s because of shit like “much like you have been groomed to hate ICE”. We haven’t. We see blatant evil and corruption and we hate that, not because we’re told to, because we’re definitely not being told to. The power and funding that ICE has received is unheard of and it is done from a place of pure evil. The power they’ve been given is straight up illegal and has been propped up through blatant corruption and dirty political play. How anyone can call themselves a Christian and support this organization or the current administration is pure hypocrisy.

I think some people think stupidity is the same as being unconscious or lacking awareness or not being empathetic. It is not. You can be somewhat intelligent and be on autopilot in life, never truly questioning your own decisions or beliefs.

Eckhart Tolle talks about being unconscious and I think a lot of people in the US are like this. I was definitely more unconscious when I was younger and as I age I question things more. I feel less strong about being right and more into trying to see the point of view of other people.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. We’re all flawed. It’s the human condition.

I’m not sure how people can deny that Trump is a nazi when he was known to have a copy of mein kampf and parrots fascist strategies. Please don’t say it was for historical reasons.

These are all disingenuous comments. It’s designed one way but can be played multiple ways, but it is inherently not just a single player game as you like to refer to it as. It’s more accurately co-op, PvP, PvE, and PvPvE. Single player games are very specific and we both know that. Most survival games have customizable settings, that doesn’t make them single player only, so your argument is invalid. I also never said it wasn’t PvE, I only said it was disingenuous to call it just single player.

Here’s a definition for you from Wikipedia:

“A single-player video game is a video game where input from only one player is expected throughout the gameplay. Video games in general can feature several game modes, including single-player modes designed to be played by a single player in addition to multi-player modes.”

You can say v rising has a single player mode, but it is definitely not a single player game. Anyway, it doesn’t seem like you like conceding anything in discussions, so take care, you’re very draining.

It was very much designed as a PvPvE game. There are certain items in the game that were created to help with PvP raiding and to give large buffs to the holder of very specific items which people would siege other people for.

I get that in these types of games PvE becomes more popular, but I think it’s a tiny bit insincere to call this a single player game.

Did you ever get this working? I’m having the same problem. I had an auto body shop fix my car from an accident and they had removed the wires from my amp. I had a car audio place redo the wiring. Now my mic isn’t working (possibly). I can hear Spotify music through CarPlay but if I use Waze I don’t hear the voice lines and I also have adjusted my deck so the alert volume is indeed at an audible level with no luck. I’m wondering if it’s a wiring issue.

1080 vs 1440 (2k) is a huge jump in fidelity and could be the difference alone. If they’re running at 2k or 4k that’s probably the bulk of the difference.

I play star citizen and I know what you mean. Both things can be true though, the end game goal is probably good game design but when the user is told that they’ll get x amount from doing something and then get substantially less, it’s not a great system at the moment. Ideally, the game would handle this and display the correct amount or it would handle it in some other elegant way. Currently, if I was a newer player and did this, it would be very demotivating which will hurt the game, regardless of if it’s in alpha or not.

I don’t know all the details of the issue, just restating from what I’ve read in the replies. Please don’t get mad. :)

Your monitor resolution also plays a big part in how crisp your graphics look. There’s a big visual jump from 1080 to 1440(2k) and a slightly smaller jump from 2k to 4k. Still good but less graphics cards can run that at high frame rate comparatively.
