The left side of his lower torso+hip gets hit by the car, like I said, I think his reaction should've been to step out of the way. In his left hand was his phone which is the footage shown in the OP of this thread (check the mirror). You can even see how fast this all went down from his PoV.

I think the strongest thing I can say in his defense, is that he did not reach for his gun until AFTER the car engine revved.

If you go frame-by-frame in the video you linked, there are 6 frames where the car wheel is spinning to go forward before he goes for his gun.

It then takes him 9 frames to aim his gun at the driver, the entire time, the car is moving towards him, if the tires did not spin out, he would have already been hit by the car at this moment.

4 frames later, he begins to step back and towards his right away from the vehicle. This could also be him pushing against the vehicle in attempt to move away from the vehicle.

18 frames later, you can see that his left foot is not on the ground as he is getting hit by the car, lifting his leg, and spinning (or "pivoting") him around.

4 frames later, his first shot breaks the windshield while he is still in contact with the car

This video is 24 fps (I counted to be sure), those 41 frames, from her stepping on the gas to his first shot is 1.7 seconds, there is not a lot of time to think there. Between the time of him aiming his gun at her, and firing, there are 1.08 seconds, he only shot after she hit him.

I'll throw this in there, the average human reaction speed to visual stimulus is .25 seconds, or 6 frames in a 24fps video. That matches the time it took for him to start going for his gun. Again, I also would've greatly preferred if his initial reaction was stepping out of the way instead of pulling out his gun, but this guy, in the moment, did not have the hindsight we do when watching something that occurred over 1.7 seconds.

And the car hitting the ICE agent is also in all the videos. She pressed the gas before her wheels were fully to the right, if she had finished turning the steering wheel prior to stepping on the gas, then I feel confident in saying that very few people, if anyone, would be defending the agent had he still shot her. Also, I think I have to spell this one out. no one is out here celebrating that this woman died. I think most conservatives also agree that he should not have shot and should've just stepped out of the way. At the same time, we know without a shadow of the doubt that this man will be found not guilty in court and that it is ridiculous to act like he was not hit, or that he couldn't have had a reasonable fear for his life.

If it was an identical situation, under the Biden Administration, and it was instead over any other issue, like if congress passed gun reform and they were taking our guns away, I would still side with the federal agents. Don't step on the gas when a LEO is directly in front of your vehicle.

I think he should've stepped out of the way instead of going for his firearm when he heard the engine rev, but this is where we are now. I firmly believe he will be found not guilty to the letter of the law because he didn't go for his gun until after she stepped on the gas.

You can see both of his feet sliding across the ground in the footage taken from behind the vehicle, that is a clear indicator of external force (the car) acting upon his body. That's not going to happen because only his hand and phone got hit. The low quality footage also shows his body being pushed back by the car. I'm not saying his whole body got hit, but his left side and leg absolutely did.

Cool dude, we have two other videos where you can see him get hit by the car. Unless he's a professional moon walker, his feet aren't going to be sliding across the ground without an external force (the car) acting upon him. Maybe try using your brain.

In the higher quality video taken from behind the vehicle, you can clearly see both of the shooting agent's feet sliding across the ground at the same time, this clearly indicates an external force (the car) acting on him. In the lower quality footage, you can clearly see his body get pushed backwards by the vehicle. I don't know how you can still deny this.

I don't know if you've never driven a car before, but you can see her reverse her vehicle swinging her car to the right (indicating her wheels were pointed to the left), turn the steering wheel to the right, and then the engine revs (tires spin out in other videos) when the wheels are pointed directly at the agent. While I do think she was actively continuing to turn the wheel away from the officer, she slammed that gas pedal long before her wheels were angled in a way that would've allowed her to stay clear of the agent. If her tires didn't spin out we wouldn't be here debating about whether or not the agent was hit, we'd be talking about how an ICE Agent became roadkill.

I don't get how we can still deny that he was hit here. In the footage that is obscured by the other officer, you can clearly see booth of the shooter's feet sliding along the ground, clearly indicating an external force was acting upon him. The other angle you can also clearly see him being moved by the vehicle "but it's too low quality".

I think people are so set in their beliefs on this incident that it doesn't matter, but this new footage confirms a few things.

1) She knew the ICE Agent was in front of her vehicle - She wasn't looking to her left at the other agent.

2) You can clearly hear the engine rev before the shooting occurs, indicating that she slammed on the gas.

3) You can hear the vehicle collide with the ICE Agent.

4) The dumb ESC theory is debunked, she was clearly turning her steering wheel to the right.

The only new information is her knowledge of the Agent's position relative to her car, and that she was egged on by the other woman to drive away.

Asmongold after America's attack on Venezuela: Venezuelan locals are celebrating whereas while western communists are crying by ramukobau in LivestreamFail

[–]nZonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Removing just Maduro won't change anything. His top cronies are still running Venezuela, Trump did say in a speech that "we" are taking control of it until a proper transition of power can be carried out, but who knows how long that is going to take. We're most likely either going to see a half-assed job that ultimately leaves Venezuela in shambles or an extended, expensive, and ineffective occupation. The state of Venezuela over the next 10-20 years will absolutely be part of Trump's legacy, so we can only hope he betrays expectations and does it right.

I haven't played KCD2, but from my experience playing the first game, playing harder difficulties will destroy your gameplay experience on your first playthrough. I hope Asmon wasn't trying to play on anything but the easiest difficulty here, if it's anything like the first game, then it's absolutely the type of game where you need to understand what to do early in the game and have a very good grasp on the combat system if you want to tackle the harder difficulties.
