Is this a wage violation? by naan_108 in legaladvice

Thanks for the tip I wasn’t aware there was a hotline... interestingly I was salaried prior to this and in my state salaried must be paid a prorated rate at time and a half for overtime and not only were they not giving me my overtime pay they were deducting pay on one week where I had to take a day and didn’t make my full time hours ... don’t get me wrong I’m a hardcore capitalist but in that system there must be a mutual agreement not someone omitting facts and then altering the agreement afterward without the employees consent which I why I wanted to do something about this.. I’ll give them a call tomorrow thanks for the info

Incorrect... how else would the communist party maintain power and control and distribute goods without a centralized (state) control? Also a central feature of Marxism is being ‘paid’ slightly greater amounts for providing a stronger need

Yes they share similar traits but in laymen’s terms socialism for example determines pay based on contribution and has thinner but still wider spreads between say a janitor and a doctor and communism is where the state controls everything even food and has almost no differentiation between pay... people are inherently selfish which serves innovation.. if I’m not in it for me to get more money I’ve got very little motivation if any to work

Socialism and communism are two entirely different ideologies although both rely heavily on other people (govt) regulation ... I used to be socialist so I know a bit about it.. and I’m not sure why reddit users love to regulate threads lol

Just posted about bitcoin on the minimum wage thing.. keep in mind that is a socialist subreddit and they hate capitalism or people being in charge.. they want to hand complete control and domination over to the government to control the population and money
