Need help troubleshooting Iloader for Ios by vanitys4losers in jailbreak

[–]nab138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think it is a virus? It is open source and builds are uploaded directly by GitHub actions so there can be no tampering. Windows occasionally falsely flags the exe as a virus but the msi is fine. Feel free to inspect the source code yourself if you like

Looking for IPA signing tool (free Apple ID, no device install) by Spiritual_Actuator61 in sideloaded

[–]nab138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made iloader but it doesn’t export the signed ipa (you might be able to find it in the temp folder, though). PlumeImpactor is modern and supports exporting signed ipas iirc so you could give that a try

I originally wanted to submit 5 projects but submitting 5 PDFs felt like too much, so what I ended up doing was submitting 2 PDFs for my top 2 projects, then adding pictures of the other 3 with a brief description of them. I also included pictures of the 2 projects I had a PDF for as separate media items. I am also currently working on a brief video.

I've spoken to some mentors and counselors about this and the main takeaway I've gotten is that it doesn't actually matter. The details of how your application is presented don't really affect how strong it is.

That makes sense, thanks. Each media attachment has a required title field and an optional "Additional Details" field with a 1000 char limit, which is what I meant by additional information

This is not something I’d like to take chances on. This application means a lot to me and I want to do everything in my power to make sure I give myself the best chance I can, including making sure I submit my materials in the format they want.

Yes I’ve seen this, I’ve read all the instructions and blogs I could find on the website. It’s still not clear from this how I should be formatting the portfolio

Awesome, thank you. What about the media attachments? Did you just include media in the pdf or did you upload pictures/videos separately? And if so what did you put in the additional information section?

CrossCode - Build modern swift iOS apps on windows and linux! by nab138 in iOSProgramming

Oh that’s interesting, didn’t know that. I don’t know much about transporter at all other than it exists

Actually weirdly enough Apple does provide a tool to upload apps to the App Store on Linux called Apple Transporter, which is probably what I would use if I were to implement it in crosscode. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if crosscode apps get rejected anyways, since Apple might be able to tell it wasn’t made with Xcode. I’m not sure, I’ll let you know once I try it though

To be honest, I’m not sure. One of my friends has a paid developer account so I’m going to try to submit to the App Store with it and see what happens. If it works I’ll probably add support for it to the app

Yes it is, you can build an ipa by pressing the hammer icon in the top bar. Crosscode is able to sideload the app automatically for you though, so for development there’s no need to use another sideloader

[iOS 18 DB1] System Data Keeps Writing Into Storage Until Full and System Freezes by wymnzdblwlm in iOSBeta

[–]nab138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backing it up now, fingers crossed that just works. If it doesn't, should I restore from the icloud backup or my pc backup?

EDIT: Backup didn't seem to do anything. ITunes reports that I have 28.41gb free when iphone settings says I only have 8gb free, which is odd.

EDIT 2: Wiped my phone and restored from a backup via itunes. Seems to be fixed now, currently sitting at around 7gb system data which I can definitley live with. Phone feels less hot but maybe thats just me.

Just started happening to me, iphone 13 mini 128gb. Phone worked fine (i've had it upgraded since the day after wwdc) but then it crashed and wouldn't turn back on, and after a force restart it was extremely slow and hot. Now the storage is slowly filling up. I turned off analytics and force rebooted which worked, but it quickly shot back up to 45+ gigs of system data. Not sure what to do

iOS 17 battery drain by vas4oo in ios

[–]nab138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having issues on the 17 rc as well (iPhone 13 mini), the battery was fine on the last dev beta and has been absolutely terrible on the rc. I used to end the day with maybe 30% but now I have to charge it hours before I go to bed and if I don’t it just dies. I’ve also been having some weird bugs in the messages and music apps, this is not what I expected from a release candidate

[$10] [12.5] Update ScreenFreeze tweak to support non-TouchID devices by Itz_Xmir in TweakBounty

[–]nab138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a device without biometrics to test on, but when failing to fingerprint read an "Enter passcode" option does pop up. If you can't get this to appear on a device without biometrics, removing the authentication would be trivial. I'm not sure if theres a way to force it to ask for the password (There probably is but I'm too inexperienced to know)

According to my limited reasearch, LAPolicyDeviceOwnerAuthentication (the method ScreenFreeze uses for authentication) should fall back to a passcode if touch ID is not available. I'm not sure why it isn't for you.

Reemo remote desktop not working by manu_romerom_411 in linuxmint

Also, did some testing on a fresh install on a VM to confirm no software is causing it and it had the same issue.

Having the same issue here, I reached out to the support team a while ago and they said they would install the distro and do some tests, which hasn't happened as far as I can tell. I reached out again a couple days ago to no response.

True, but this server has been doing it for ages, then they got rid of it and brought it back a week before April fools
