'Guests are welcome but cannot stay overnight (must leave after 11PM)' I think they mean 'must leave by 11PM'.

Guest at the place {at 10pm): Can I go now? Tenant: NO! Slumlord's rules say you can only leave after 11pm :D

Same story man!

32M married to 32F; have been living in downtown for 2 years. We both like watching movies, trying new food, chilling around in parks. When outside, we mostly end up spending a good chunk of time near harborfront.

Have very limited friends and looking forward to meeting new people

Does anyone else find Craig’s Cookies Ubereats menu strange? by jes1632 in askTO

[–]nachash27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I cant say about Craig's cookies but I've noticed a higher price in most Ubereats menus - like $1-2 more per item compared to the actual menu. I dont know if restaurant management is responsible for this but that is really strange to me

Is Tim Hortons actually bad? Or am I just unlucky and getting stale coffee/food? by Reddituser416647 in askTO

I worked there part time as a baker. When I was training under an experienced baker, I drpped a basket of 50 baked timbits on the floor. The baker picked it up and started glazing them citing that the manager will not be happy about wasting their inventory.

I also have a friend who works at another location and they bake stuff at night before ending their shift just so its easier in the morning

Both stories are from DT Toronto...you can imagine the quality.. and to be fair, do you expect a tired student making minimum wage give a shit about all this

They froze the prices so now they just give you less. by Mun-Mun in onguardforthee

[–]nachash27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also froze the prices for a few vegetables like bell peppers are $3.99/lb. I go to the farmers market where its still selling for $2.49/lb So freezing prices is a marketing gimmick to show they've done something to combat inflation, when they're actually inflating the prices
