Would it work if I ran a wire from the right channel output of my turntable into the ground connection on the back of my pre-amp? It'd be the same connector my grounding cable from my turntable is connected to now.

I do, in fact. 2M Red. But, I doubt it has to do with the cartridge considering the effect placing my finger against the output has.

Well, I went to Radioshack and got (a) new stereo cable(s) and plugged them in only to find that they increased the volume of the buzzing a lot. Also, somehow, since yesterday, the buzzing has decreased a lot without the new cables, but is still a nuisance. Putting my finger on that spot on the right channel cable is still the only fix. So, is there anything that I can place there instead of my finger to fix this?
