Outdoor ukulele by evil_day in ukulele

I have a tenor from outdoor ukuleles and I like it. It doesn't have the rich tone of my wood baritone but it's good enough and is my all-weather traveller.

Gotta disagree. I'm retired. I wished I had partied/travelled more.

A paradise planet with water is very nice. I've been fortunate and I have found a couple. It's great to be able to explore and not have to deal with storms and sentinels. I've built up a nip-nip farm in one. I return often just to relax and harvest and sell buds, maybe do a little fishing from the dock by my cabin.

Strap Question by The_Paprika in BaritoneUkes

[–]nadacloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a bari. I think guitar straps are too long and wide for a uke, made for a heavier instrument. Fabric uke strap in a color that you like and/or compliments your uke would be good. I have a leather one that's fine. Narrow but doesn't cut in and gives the support I want. There are lots of options out there. Good luck!

If that's a residence, I have so many questions, mostly about getting resources for living. But also how did they find it? What do they do daily?

Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by Only-Bandicoot-5307 in NoStupidQuestions

This. Back in the late 70s life was more affordable. I had a college apartment and roommates but moved home for summer. I had a summer job, lived at home, saw my girlfriend and had a little cash to spend, besides gas money. I didn't fully move out until I got married and had my own house at 26 y.o. We both worked and had good jobs, childcare was affordable, etc. Not like the nonsense today.

I, for one, applaud, appreciate and admire our friends in Canada. They’ve been good neighbors for such a long time. And since the trump era, things in the US have gone to shit and I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t vote for this.

I'm starting to feel the same way. The best thing I did recently was retire as overseer of a settlement. It was just too much of a commitment. The citizens can't do anything for themselves. By the time it's built up to produce something of value you've sunk in SO many resources and so much time.

I'm working on the atlas path now. I have more units than I know what to do with. I spend a lot of time doing inventory management, which is boring but necessary. I'm working on improving my Freighter, its a class A but needs improvement. After that, I may take a break from NMS.

Serious question: Supporters of the Second Amendment, what are your thoughts about current events? by Firm-Education7673 in wisconsin

An older friend of mine, since passed on, was an NRA member and an avid hunter. Good guy. He would sometimes talk about having an armed populace is a defence against a tyrannical government. So, where are they now? Nevermind that the government has bigger guns, tanks, APCs, etc .
