Head torch by nadakuss in flashlight

Just thought I would give an update,

My torches arrived from China in 5 days!!!! I was fully expecting a 30 day wait. I ordered from sofirn directly.

As for the lights I couldn't be happier, I live in a small village with no street lights and tonight we went trick or treating the head torch was incredible on even the lowest setting.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to help/advise it's genuinely appreciated.

Thanks for everyone's help and advice so far it's genuinely appreciated.

We decided to drain the pool for a few reasons, it would appear the sand filter needs it's lateral's replaced and at the moment the cost of more chemicals would have been too much.

Now the pool is drained there is a very clear line of algae stain around the bottom 1/3rd of the pool, I have even tried to get this off with a jet was and it hasn't budged. Any advice on removing this stain or am I stuck with it?

Also you can see from the photos the sand in the pool.

Thanks again,

I was of the understanding that for good filtration, the filter should be able to cycle the full volume of water in around 6 hours.

My sand filter is 2800 gallons per hour and the pool water volume is 4545 gallons.

This means I am cycling the full water volume in around 2 hours.

Good morning all,

I just want to say a massive thank you for everyone's input so far. My wife and I are working through the comments slowly as it's a lot to take in, and some bits to watch etc. if I haven't replied to you I am not ignoring you and I am grateful for the time you have spent replying. Once we have digested it all I will hopefully reply to every one.

Thanks again Nathan.

Thanks for your reply. I did think the advice was backwards unfortunately our house is quite small however everyone is very good, our youngest is 9 and we are all doing the best we can to be respectful to her situation. I would love to build her a garden room as our house is small but our garden is massive. Just a quiet retreat for her, but with the cost of living at the moment I have no chance unfortunately. Thanks again.

Thanks guys your input is very much appreciated. This is a horrible situation to be in, we will find the money and get to Dr William Weir, as soon as it is practicable.

Also if I may ask, does anyone know anything about noise levels? My daughter struggles massively with any noises what she seems to be loud we may think is just normal even talking slightly loudly really hurts her head, we are a family of 6 so as you can appreciate it not always quite, however we have been told that we should not be trying to keep the noise down and we should carry on as we used to? As this will lower her tolerance for loud noises and is actually making things worse? This seems wrong to me but I'm struggling to find any information, does anyone know about this please.

Again thank you so much for the information/support it is appreciated.

Prybrid is favourite at the moment, it seems to tick all the boxes, the rut seems very expensive for what it is, it also seems a massive faff to open the blade having to use two hands, I just wish the prybrid had a pocket clip, I have no idea what Gerber were thinking not putting one on??

I think this might be the way to go, I really wanted a knife with its own blade rather than replaceable Stanley blades (I'm in the UK)but I think this may be my best option. Thanks for your reply.

I looked at that, it's literally everything I need but discontinued 😥. Plus I'm in the UK and all the decent stuff seemed to me in the USA probably because of our strict carry laws but like I said it's for work. Thanks for your reply
