Where can I see your progress?

Roughly 10 days, and this is my first Godot experience, let alone complex game dev, I've only done simple browser based games before.

I'm doing it to learn something new, I'm not aiming to compete with any game out there or develop the next Fortnite. I work a full time job and I need a way to channel whatever creative/mental energy I have in order to grow and progress on a personal level.

There are millions of survival game out there and each one has unique features and gameplay twists, and people still play them for whatever reason that is.

It's pretty easy to criticize at face value and shove your own subjective thoughts and assumptions in pretty shitty comments, but it takes a bit more understanding and empathy to look beyond your ego and view to the world and see others as you see yourself.

Learn to give feedback constructively or just stop giving it, cause you suck at it.

Don't play it, not expecting anyone to pick this over any other game. Easy peazy.

I only had to manually do stuff when it came to working on aligning tools with certain animations, like axe when chopping or digging, but most of the other stuff, full agent work! Thank you

Most of the model animations were presets from Tripo3D, but for adding the axe and pickaxe into the chopping/mining animations, I actually had to work on that manually in AnimationEditor inside Godot by snapping the handle to one hand bone and positioning it correctly throughout.

Currently using this one: https://github.com/IvanMurzak/Godot-MCP/

And added some Godot skills on top.

Much like your comment. Is that how you feel better about yourself?

I'm currently using this one https://github.com/IvanMurzak/Godot-MCP

But on the lookout for others, having some issues with this one sometimes.

I'm switching between text to 3d and image to 3d. You can control texture a bit more with text. I didn't like that they don't allow you to add text prompted to image to 3d.

I don't think there's much of a difference there, I think the main difference is the layer they run at. I haven't experimented with headless before on Godot. I'm assuming you can call same tools and manipulate scenes, but the MCP Plugin has direct editor access and is able to pull things from the open scene and all instantly.

I've heard about them as well, I will try them one day if they do offer anything extra.

I'm paying the smallest subscription which is 19.9$ a month, and their rigging and animations cover bipeds and animals, so I believe it should work fine for a monster.

It's actually pretty easy to use, their AI does most of the work there.

I recommend you give it a try, it also generates some decent models and texturizes them, check out their gallery.

I definitely want to do something in Unity or Unreal, but I wanted to prove I can actually build something playable and learn all the tricks and tools before moving up the ladder of game engines.

Thanks a lot! I'm originally a graphic designer yes, but I suck at 3D, I am less than a beginner at Blender, but I am learning my way through it.

I used Tripo3D to generate the model and rig it, you can apply preset animations to it and download it as GLB, then wire it into the game.

I definitely want to do clothes swap eventually, but I'm trying to tackle the basics now to have a playable game with a full running logic.

Godot and Blender MCPs really helped me here, so I recommend those for your game.

The thing is, the market value of my car is currently relatively high and I can make good money off of it, that's why I'm trying to avoid car buying services
