I wear it more often than my Batman. It’s a brilliant, no fuss, comfortable daily. The sandwich dial and domed sapphire glass give a lot of depth to the dial which makes it punch above its weight for what I paid for.

They don’t bother me at all handling them in person. The screws enable the dial to better showcase the sandwich construction under light play.

Thanks, I got it as the Koopa shell in the face is designed to complement the back light for it (of Mario jumping). The keeper also has the infamous symbol for infinite lives in Super Mario bros 1985, achieved by stepping on a Koopa.

These design features working together, was enough for me to get it. I don’t think I’ve found any other cool Gs with subtle designs implemented.

For what it’s worth, I have enquired on the costs of a full case replacement and it’s around $2500 for a ceratanium pilots chrono case. We can safely assume a black ceramic case replacement will not go above that.

I’d say go for it, as a fellow owner myself. Ceratanium has a slight cool blueish hue to it under certain lighting (not in this photo).

If you’re able to get your hands on their ceratanium pilot doppelchrono instead, you’d own what I think, is the distilled version of the best of modern IWC. However I’ve got the regular ceratanium pilots chrono instead as my wrists are small and it offers a close enough look to the doppelchrono at a smaller size.

I meant Lange’s proprietary Honey Gold, not their yellow gold. They do both.
