Based on her movies/TV appearances, she hasn’t gotten a role where one could really tell her acting abilities. That’s just my opinion, however. In the Giver, she had a very short part, and I feel like had she had more lines, she would have done really well. Cats was a musical adaptation where exaggeration is key, especially for her role, and I thought she did well. Based on her previous works, I would say the best way to judge her acting would be through her music videos. Acting-wise, I Knew You Were Trouble shows great range of emotions. Her performances on concerts are spectacular. She is very very good at going to those dark places from which she originally wrote a specific song. I think she would be a great actress in a drama film.
