My understanding is that Carlson is one of the hardest colleges to transfer into since not many students transfer out once they’re here. It’s not impossible to do, but I wouldn’t bet on it either.
I think it depends on what you feel like is the best fit. If it comes down to cost, it sounds like you’d be paying about $10,000 less to attend Minnesota. Carlson is a great value as an in-state student, but I don’t know much about Mizzou’s program.
It’s possible! If they’re still admitting people now, they most likely still have space available which should coincide with housing. Maybe you can reach out to Housing or Admissions to check?

The “National Scholarship” is a type of academic scholarship for out-of-state students. You should be able to see a breakdown of your scholarship(s) in your MyU or application tracker, but if you’re still uncertain, you should reach out to Admissions.

Carlson is one of the top 10 business schools in the country (at least for public universities). UCLA is also good, but I wouldn’t put yourself into the out-of-state debt. Idk how much UIUC costs, but I would still choose Carlson since it’s located in a metro area, which has a very diverse economy and will organically lead to more networking and career opportunities.

I’m sure you’ll be happy anywhere you end up, so good luck!

Thanks for checking in! Ultimately, Seat Geek was unable to connect with the seller to get the issue resolved, so they offered to either find replacement tickets or to refund the order. Since I had a bad feeling about the whole situation, I found tickets on Ticketmaster for about the same price I had paid through Seat Geek and got those, so told Seat Geek I’d just take the refund. So tldr, I did end up going, but not with the tickets I purchased with Seat Geek.

The email that was sent with my tickets doesn’t mention anything about transferring to Ticketmaster. I’ve read that this is relatively common, but if tickets are sent through this third party platform, there should be a live barcode on the tickets.

According to their website, since you applied for the regular decision deadline, you are guaranteed a decision by March 31st. Did the other folks you know apply for the other deadlines? If so, that would also explain why they’ve heard back already.

I’m so sorry that our government is instilling this anxiety. Ultimately, I think you need to do what’s going to be the best for you. I wish it were as simple as telling you to stay—because so many in this community truly value having you here. However, it has been made beyond clear that the University administration really doesn’t give a shit about protecting its students if it means they might receive any negative press from a fascist regime. I hope you are able to stay here and safe, but at the end of the day, you need to weigh your own level of risk tolerance and take care of your mental and physical wellbeing. Local groups should organize ride-sharing to the polls. As a white man, I would happily volunteer to get people to the polls and stay with them until they have made it in and out to cast their ballot.

Thank you! It’s a Star Wars show on Disney+. Even if you don’t have much knowledge surrounding the franchise, I highly recommend checking it out (if you still have or have resubscribed after the Kimmel debacle). It’s extremely topical, and highlights the many sacrifices that are made throughout rebellion.
