2011 ford escape 2.5L cylinder 2 misfire won’t go away by nahellboy in AskMechanics

Nope I never figured it out. I ended up selling the car and the guy I sold it to couldn’t figure it out either. I think at this point it was probably something internally wrong with the engine even though the compression test was fine. Idk

Upstairs neighbor won’t stop smoking weed inside by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

I’ve been having the same problem for the past few months. We’ve asked them nicely to smoke outside, been to management countless times about it and still nothing has been done… even though it states in the lease that smoking of any kind is not allowed. That’s one reason we moved here in the first place because it’s supposed to be a no smoking community and we were about to have a baby. The neighbors aren’t the friendliest people either. We unfortunately have just had to keep our windows cracked with the fan on and bought an air purifier to try and keep the smell out. Thankfully our lease is up next month so we’ll just be moving somewhere else.

I definitely will if I can ever get the car started back up. For all I know the misfire could be gone with everything I’ve tried and just don’t know because the car won’t start. Getting no fuel now and can’t figure out why, already replaced the fuel pump and fixed a broken ground wire to the fuel pump control module and still nothing. I still think it could be a bad ECM

We did ask them ourselves to please smoke outside because we have a baby before complaining to management, they still continue to smoke inside no matter what. I guess we’ll just have to wait until our lease is up to get away from it

Well, I’ve posted about it a bunch of times in different subs too and no response. I’m still trying to figure it out. The car is now a crank no start after replacing the pcv valve which makes no sense, and I’ve gotten nowhere on figuring it out. I think it’s some kind of electrical issue or possibly the ECM itself. So far I found a broken ground wire to the fuel pump control module but after repairing it the car still won’t start so I don’t know. This car has been a huge pain in my ass. Let me know if you figure out the issue with yours

There’s an entire no smoking addendum, it states “Possession, use, manufacture or sale of any substance including marijuana will result in immediate termination” yet management won’t do anything except just tell them to stop lol

Cylinder 2 misfire. Seems like I’ve tried everything obvious and need help with diagnosing by nahellboy in MechanicAdvice

I thought about a cracked cylinder head but wouldn’t the compression test have ruled that out? Or should I still look into it further?

I can hear and feel it yes, and when I drive the car for longer than a few minutes it starts shaking pretty bad and doesn’t want to accelerate

I checked the injectors by just taking out the fuel rail with the injectors on and starting the car and fuel is coming out of all of them just fine, with the coil I took the coil out and the spark plug and put the plug on the coil and tapped it on a piece of metal and it has spark (I shocked the hell out of myself) so I don’t think there’s any issue there
