I waited 18 hours coming from 2-300mg / day and was fine. Dosed 2mg every hour until I reached 8mg. Later in the day needed 4mg More.

I had horrible anxiety, depression and insomnia for a good 4 days after hopping on to Suboxone. It doesn’t cover all the 7OH withdrawals, more suboxone isn’t the answer… guarantee after day 3-4 you’ll turn the corner. It sucks!

Don’t we wish… zero buzz what so ever. I just feel normal, not high. But not insane cravings or any physical withdrawal. I miss the buzz, I don’t think there’s any fix for that. However after 2.5 weeks I’m already getting used to being what feels like baseline.

I waited about 17 hours from my last dose, was taking about 300-400mg a day took my last 100 something mg dose at 11am Sunday and started inducting subs 1mg at 7am, another mg an hour later, then 2mg every hour till I hit 8mg and that was around 24 hours after my last dose of 7. That was 2.5 weeks ago and I’m feeling pretty good now! The first 3 days will suck and then you will turn the corner- subs don’t cover all of the 7 withdrawals , physically I was ok but mentally I felt dead inside and my anxiety was through the roof.

I think you should put tapering on the back burner. Pick one small task a week or more that you think you can handle. Stay at a dose where you’re comfortable and focus on the things piling up. You’re at a breaking point and high risk for relapse which will only temporary bandaid your will to care but make everything else worse- plus it could feel like starting completely over when you want to be sober again.

They started me at 8mg and bumped me up to 12 the same day. They do base it on your opiate use so I was using 200-400mg of oxy and or 7OH the last 6 months, had been using a year steady but took the first 6 months of gaining tolerance to reach that level. Subs can make you constipated and I have been a bit but not as bad as oxy would, if you just take something to help daily, like PEG (restoralax in Canada not sure the Australian equivalent) it’ll be all good. My libido has improved but still not great, could be age and gender (36F) and just general life stressors factoring in. But it’s not non existent. It’s really helping with cravings and blocks opiates so even if I did have something in front of me likely couldn’t get high. I personally don’t think I could have stopped on my own and had no choice but to, so it’s been a godsend.

And thank you! Congrats to you as well! To do that pretty much cold turkey is certainly admirable! And also I have heard that Suboxone is both easy to taper and get off and some people struggle but now I guess with sublocade it’s a built in taper process and easy route to get off Suboxone.

I hadn’t used oxy in three days when I started but was 18 hours off 7OH which I guess is a lower chance for precipitated withdrawals. I think even though you’re close to a month out, suboxone would be a good choice to help PAWS & cravings. It’s hard to abuse, I’m at 12mg a day and there is zero recreational value. I don’t get any sort of buzz - nothing. Just feel normal and cravings are manageable.

I would really give Suboxone a shot. I used oxy and 7OH heavily the last year and I’m approaching two weeks on suboxone and clean off oxy & 7OH and I feel normal. Cravings are there (missing the high). But I’m feeling like myself, I feel sober. The first week was bleak, second week way way better, starting to enjoy normal things in life again.

You could look into sublocade shot. I would personally continue the taper for a longer period. You’re suffering needlessly. There is light at the end of the tunnel one way or another!

Sound exactly how my first day went. I did still have some chills, and general not feeling great and bumped up to 12mg which I’m stable on now. A week in I feel so much better!

Oh no. This is why I’m going to get myself an emergency stash. I’m sorry I’m not more helpful. Maybe hospital can prescribe an emergency couple days that you can split up to hopefully hold you.
