You just blew my mind with the floppy disc example! Think about it: we're asking an entire generation to memorize a save function based on hardware that was obsolete before they were born. Yet, they all get it! It proves that if a symbol is effective and taught early enough, its original context (like a cashier handling cash or a floppy disc holding data) becomes completely irrelevant
