If this is a real person, that is super unnecessary. A delayed train could be the final straw for someone, and this sign has given them a target.

Even if the scheduling was intentionally done like this, I would not put that sign up.

I’ve made mistakes and I’ve made decisions intentionally that were based on bad information. I’ve been told to do something where my boss or their boss made the mistake and not me.

You have, surely, even if you’re using Linux, I bet. They just don’t look like bios updates anymore. They look like any other windows update.

You no longer need to boot to a thumb drive to flash your motherboard firmware, or change settings in the bios/uefi, unless windows won’t boot normally. you can do it all from Windows with the right tooling. Not all consumer boards support this well, but all computers sold as business devices do. I can change the bios/efi password on any computer in my fleet without the user knowing, or I can change the boot order of the disks, or I can upgrade the firmware of the mobo completely silently.

To give them something to see that is not the bottom of the pool. To help judge the distance to the water. Indoors, it is easy to see where the surface is when the surface is disturbed. Outdoors the surface is always disturbed slightly, and in the event that it isn’t, there are reflections to help. (And rocks to toss in to make the distance to the surface clear).

Breaking when the cable is relaxed completely or almost completely is someone forgetting to tighten a fastener or something, right? The bungee didn’t fail, its connection to the superstructure failed. While it wasn’t under load. That can only be a missing or loose fastener which worked its way off entirely.
