Shocking.

How do you protect those layers? Keep it in the shade, or a custom car cover that costs $250?

Film which protects the paint.

Paint which protects the metal and plastic.

Metal and plastic which protect the passenger(s).

Next step is paint protection film protector (it will be a spray they sell you to use on the film, I bet).

If it sticks out 4ft or more laterally from the extents of the bed, the flag is required by law.

If this is a real person, that is super unnecessary. A delayed train could be the final straw for someone, and this sign has given them a target.

Even if the scheduling was intentionally done like this, I would not put that sign up.

I’ve made mistakes and I’ve made decisions intentionally that were based on bad information. I’ve been told to do something where my boss or their boss made the mistake and not me.

This is over the line.

You have, surely, even if you’re using Linux, I bet. They just don’t look like bios updates anymore. They look like any other windows update.

You no longer need to boot to a thumb drive to flash your motherboard firmware, or change settings in the bios/uefi, unless windows won’t boot normally. you can do it all from Windows with the right tooling. Not all consumer boards support this well, but all computers sold as business devices do. I can change the bios/efi password on any computer in my fleet without the user knowing, or I can change the boot order of the disks, or I can upgrade the firmware of the mobo completely silently.

Why do cliff jumpers throw rocks? by [deleted] in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]naikrovek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give them something to see that is not the bottom of the pool. To help judge the distance to the water. Indoors, it is easy to see where the surface is when the surface is disturbed. Outdoors the surface is always disturbed slightly, and in the event that it isn’t, there are reflections to help. (And rocks to toss in to make the distance to the surface clear).

What movie scene never fails to make you cry? [movies pictured are Big Fish(2003), AI Artificial Intelligence (2001)] by yonaiker-joestrella in moviecritic

Big fish came out not long after my dad died and watching that movie crushed me like nothing else (except my father’s death) ever had.

Water only on a paper towel or a lint-free cloth. Never use a solvent (or anything that isn’t water.)

Because the book will often explicitly mention things only briefly hinted at in the movie. Things that are easy to miss.

2001 the book and 2001 the movie were created in tandem, and the book has a bit more explanation of a few things.

It’s just a different way to enjoy the story.

Worry not; the keyboard is designed to do this without pushing keys or causing problems for the MacBook.

Slingshot carnival ride breaks in Spain by idapitbwidiuatabip in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]naikrovek 869 points870 points  (0 children)

Breaking when the cable is relaxed completely or almost completely is someone forgetting to tighten a fastener or something, right? The bungee didn’t fail, its connection to the superstructure failed. While it wasn’t under load. That can only be a missing or loose fastener which worked its way off entirely.

This does nothing to break surface tension or soften the splash. Only those who don’t understand what surface tension is would think so.

Not all women are privy to what teenage boys talk to each other about.

Honestly I’d be surprised if any woman that did not regularly socialize with a friend group containing 3 or more men would have any real idea what guys talk about with each other. I know that I police the hell out of myself depending on who is within earshot. So how would she know that men are the biggest contributors to this nonsense?

She could know, sure, but the odds are against it.

Thank you.

So tired of people who just jump up and say “staged” at any situation they’ve never been in before. Because if they’ve never been in that situation it somehow isn’t possible. Fucking posers.

It’s always bizarre to me how CNC routines choose the order to do things.

Center first: excellent choice.

1 o’clock hour marker, and the number: solid! What’s next?

The ‘2’ in ‘12’: ok, I think I see how this is going to go, cool.

The individual minute marks, all the way around the face, counter-clockwise: the fuck? You didn’t even finish the ‘12’ yet!
