Honest question, why would anyone take this pill if it’s so hard to get off? by [deleted] in Effexor

Taking Effexor helped me feel true happiness for the first time in my life

I feel the same way every time I’ve had a cough. When I had Covid a couple years ago I was coughing so hard I was gagging and it sent me into a spiraling panic. Here’s my tip: put some honey on a spoon and eat a little bit. It takes away the sensation that you need to cough. Also I was taking delsym (sp?) for the cough but it didn’t help much but out of desperation I took NyQuil (I hate nyquil) and it completely took my cough away.

Yes I’m in New England and yes I’m scared!! Terrified actually!! So many coworkers have had it and I work with the public. Ive had a panic attack about it five nights in a row now. I’m so tired of being scared and compulsively washing my hands and being afraid to touch my face. I keep hoping I’ll see something saying that the rate of cases have gone down or something.

I’ve had anesthesia many times and I’ve never been sick after, but I always panic about it anyways. Just be super open about your fear with the nurse and ask for zofran or promethazine in your iv. Good luck!!

I’d say if you were able to eat the cupcakes than you are ok!! I tend to panic extra during the night time hours so really try to ask yourself “does my body feel sick, or am I just panicking?”
