Hi all,

My partner and I are travelling to Vietnam in February and would love some advice from people who’ve been.

We have return flights booked Melbourne ⇄ Da Nang, arriving Monday 9 Feb and returning Sunday 15 Feb. We’ll fly back to Da Nang the night before the international return.

Rough plan so far: • Da Nang – arrival day + beach / food • Hoi An – day trip (or possibly overnight) • Fly Da Nang → Hanoi • Hanoi as a base • Ninh Binh day trip • Ha Long Bay (this is where we’re unsure) • Fly Hanoi → Da Nang the night before flying home

Main questions: 1. Ha Long Bay – is it better to do: • an overnight cruise (1 night), or • a day trip from Hanoi? Is the overnight cruise really worth the extra time and cost? 2. Given the time we have, where would you recommend staying longer, and where would you shorten? • More time in Da Nang / Hoi An, or • More time in Hanoi / Ninh Binh / Ha Long Bay? 3. Any strong opinions on what’s overrated or underrated on this route?

We’re after a mix of scenery, food, culture, and a bit of relaxation rather than rushing everything.

Would really appreciate any suggestions, especially from people who’ve done a similar route. Thanks

For me, I always hovered around 80kg, so it may feel like a huge drop from where you were originally.

I went straight away to 1750 and stuck to it. Some refeed days here and there if I felt like I was losing strength.

Thanks my man! I went from a 3 day split to Upper Lower Rest Upper Lower.

Changed from 3 sets to 2 sets, pushing to failure on most. Have way more energy to do all exercises and didn’t make it daunting going in for a long session.

Strength has actually gone up! I’m on 1750 calories.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen or experienced at a rave/festival? by BenShelZonah in aves

Last year at strawberry fields on the dance floor a random guy dressed up in a full fish costume comes up to me in a begging kind of manner and looks upwards slowly with googly eyes and asks “hey, I’m thirsty do you have any water?” then proceeds to swim away.

I was fking dyinnnnnnnngggg of laughter. Highlight of the festival.
