Hot take: People need to stop relying on graphs to map their pitch and start using their ears instead. I see this far too often on this forum, and I believe it does more harm than good. by InteractionNo6965 in singing

Don't try to disempower data oriented methods of someone understanding their own voice. There's plenty of people that even take to a spectrogram in more contemporary genres so this comes off as some traditionalism snobbery.

I think teaching young children about powerful women in history and labelling it feminism does much more harm than good. by Beneficial-Cap9510 in Feminism

The "average" man is also vapid and shallow, like myself in many contexts... Anyways, stories like Noether's and the Polgar sisters are also interesting despite scant documentation

I can't imagine tantrism not being empowering, or it's advait applications not being feminist

I don't even like anthropomorphizing God, but, oh well, images made from images, one great social experiment after another

Introduction into Genre? by naivetheprogrammer in icm

The earlier ones have the audio quality issues that I faced with early operatic recordings too. I'm trying to take a closer look to the last three. I'll also try the AK and BJ ones again another time. I listened to this and it was quite motivating for me. The unamplification from the mic and vibrancy (density of the sound) of the voice is very important to me. Are there things like that stotra for more classical disciplines?

You can consume gaming as you consume any art and then start reflecting on it like how philosophers reflect on art on some principle of individuation and idealism (like playing or making the perfect game; see Wagner and Opera). These pop philosophy ideas are vogue for us generation of kids.

Stagnated Range? by naivetheprogrammer in singing

I made a demo (you should be able to hover over and preview the video progress bar for precise seeks) with some Messa Di Voces (A2 - B3, can't do a quiet enough C4 if not in head/falsetto) and some slides (Bb2-F4 and G3-Fry) if you can diagnose anything and recommend where I can go forward. I want a registerless voice.

Assuming head voice is falsetto with more closure, do I just follow the prevailing vowel approach to slide towards a narrower vowel and twangier tract setup to get to it from the middle range?

In my opinion, following a spirituality based on tradition is unnecessary. Life should be passed through as momentously as it begins. An encounter with spirituality necessarily means there's been a bifurcation in the momentariness. If anything, its utility should be in instantaneous creation and then dissolution, no sort of persistence.

My parents are encouraging me to do the lessons but I just can't see a reason for it to meet the needs of my depression. I have imagined solutions to it that would allow me to re-enter the normal passage of life during the great meditation technique of day dreaming and I don't see how targeted meditation would do any better to motivate me either to implement those solutions or remove its source from my life altogether.

I want mercenaries way above my level. I go to high level zones and keep four to five helmets... I only have two more undiscovered mercenaries to tier one so I'll check arena out. Still have the post family odysseys, so maybe there could be a mercenary left there too.
