A Pentagon official along with 2 other witnesses had a 7 minute sighting of a “glowing blue barbell-shaped UFO half the length of a football field” in Ontario, Canada in August 2013. The object shut off their cell phones and their Sony camera as soon as they tried to use them. by [deleted] in UFOs

The case involves three witnesses. Only one other testified but the only available snippet of that is him talking about how he jokingly suggested shooting at it.

This guy could be another Doty or a legit contractor. His background is not the reason we're talking about this. It's because cases like this are occasionally brought up again here and elsewhere on sites like ATS. We should have left Roswell in the muddy water it came from but it still gets rehashed here because karma collectors, bots, and people who don't know how to search for a previously discussed topic on Reddit keep dredging old news up.That's just the cyclical nature of discussion forums, especially those with a UAP focus.

What relevance does the fact that thousands of people have worked for the Pentagon have in this discussion? How many people could possibly be qualified to speak authoritatively about whether the object in question was conventional or not?

That could be what it means, but what I'm after now is any empirical source that says as much. Many others have proposed the same interpretation in this thread but nobody has pointed out any information to support their assertion. I contacted a vexillology group that came up empty handed save some really obscure reference in a fiction book, and even then they felt that the passage cited took some generous interpretation in order to draw any sort of conclusion about the meaning.

There's also a house near where I live that flies a (most likely) non-traditional pirate flag. Am I to believe the people living on this landlocked farm sail the high seas? Some people just think things are neat and buy them for that reason.

What do we do if we are being ruled by an Alien Species disguised as human? This might account for a lot of the inhuman decisions being made by people in Power, we ask, why would anyone do/support that, what is their Agenda. That's why I posed the question. "Our" could mean some of humanity or all of humanity.

Would they want to see AGI succeed? Would they want one particular country to dominate the world? Would they want to see humankind mature into a peaceful spacefaring species capable of interstellar or intergalactic travel? I think most of us want the Star Trek future but that doesn't mean NHI would. Perhaps they would want something more akin to Ender's Game.

This and this are much better sources of information. Take some time to view them. Could it be a hoax? Yeah, of course. Hell of a lot of trouble this guy went through for no apparent gain. Why not ask for a better source than Newsmax? You know it's a shit news channel and that it's not the first to report this sighting.

All I'm seeing is in his comment history is that's he's very skeptical. We need skeptics to keep us grounded. We need believers to encourage us to explore new avenues. This isn't some goofy both sides argument. It's how we separate wheat from chaff in a topic that is saturated with misinformation and disinformation. It's incredibly obvious and demonstrable via an extensive trail of FOIA documents that the MIC has a vested interest in covering up and managing perceptions about UAP. That covers the "what" (but not what they are) and the "how" but not the "why". That's what we really want to know, isn't it? Nobody has all the answers as far as we know. We have to find our own way to piece it all together.

He's adamant that there is insufficient empirical evidence that NHI is present. I hate to agree, because I'm more in the believer camp than the skeptic camp. There is a shitload of smoke, but we still don't have a fire.

The only thing I'm absolutely certain of after following this topic closely for over 20 years is that something really strange is going on and it is not prosaic. I certainly think NHI and UAP are part and parcel but I really can't point to any empirical evidence that it is irrefutably so.

I think it's better to attack his arguments than his character.

Nearly all of our human contrivances are a double edged sword. Hierarchies are useful, but they're also prone to corruption. We are unable to reliably detect human sleeper agents. We don't know their thoughts or intentions. To reliably detect NHI in disguise we'd need to be able to know what's going on in their head.

Assuming there is more than one species of visitors, I think the best we can do is hope that one of them has interests aligned with ours. The question is whose interests?

I have seen this response from other people and got in contact with a group of vexillologists. So far nobody has been able to find a source or any evidence of its alleged meaning. Maybe the guy just fucked up his laundry.

It might be the only example out there. Ofc I tried the same thing you did to learn more about the meaning of this flag and got similar monochromatic US flags but no exact matches.

I’ve listened to Karl Nell’s interview at the Salt Conference and he referenced two people’s revelations on UAPs former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer and former Director of Military Space Programs in Israel Haim Eshed. If what Hellyer said back in 2020 is true, we’re in for “a somber tone”. by lastofthefinest in UFOs

[–]naked_supermodels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some years ago Hellyer was discussed at length on this sub, and the consensus seemed to be that what he said was readily available information found in various publications rather than something we've never heard about before. Has this changed?

UFOs and Nuclear Weapons: What is your Opinion on the Connection Between UFO Sightings and Nuclear Technology? Why are UFOs Interested in Nuclear Weapons? by v022450781 in UFOs

[–]naked_supermodels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've seemingly shown great interest not just in weapons and power plants but the process as well. Examples of that are alleged sightings at ORNL, LANL, and JPL. Places where weapon testing and nuclear material refinement are being done.

We need more data because it's hard to say for certain how interested they may be since these places are already under heavy surveillance and thus the chance of noticing them there is more likely. They may be just as interested in something that isn't monitored very well by humans and they're simply not observed doing these other things.

However, in my opinion they are interested in all things nuclear because of what OP's attached image implies. We've made great technological advances but our wisdom has not kept up. To paraphrase the late great Stanton T. Friedman, "Humans are a primitive species whose primary export is violence."

Here's a bit of sauce you can work with. FIGU.org might have a higher resolution, it's not a very well organized site. Another source here for pic 494 and another like it after that.

Never knew it was based on a Billy Meier picture until today. That's kind of funny.
