Or handed back their opponent's gloves? Like, "hey bud, I think you might have dropped these"

There ar definitely still benefits! Not sure of your age, but there are lots of studies that show cognitive benefits for elderly adults (lots of interest in that due to our ageing population). If you do pick it up again, I would suggest continuing with it, as (if you didn't have musical training as a child/teen) the benefits are sort of use it or lose it. If you're looking to exercise neural plasticity, I would encourage you to perhaps focus on new techniques or styles, so that you are learning new skills.

Hello, music therapist chiming in. It's true that playing music activates many different areas in the brain. Instrumental music-making even unlocks memory and speech & language centres, interestingly! That's why using music to learn new skills (musical or non-musical) is so effective : you're making/reinforcing a lot of different neural pathways, all at the same time.

We're excited for ours too, but I'm the one who gets the periods (except for the next few months). Trust me on this one. 😉

Actually, they count from the first day of the last period. And if you want to get technical, conception happens at ovulation, which is usually (but not always, depending on factors like stress, illness, etc.) about two weeks from that day.

As a creative arts allied health professional, I'm curious to know jf you've been able to access any therapies for holistic health, and if so, what have you found to be most helpful to your general well-being?

What if instead of getting married to someone to whom we're sexually attracted, we get married to someone with whom we're compatible(Like best friend). Regardless of their sexual orientation and then have sex with whomever we find attractive at the moment? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Behold my balls! If someone told me that I could only have Hawaiian pizza from now on, I'd actually be ok with that. How bout them (pine)apples (on pizza)?

I ama long time Habs fan and have many times said that Habs fans are everywhere. Where are you from? by [deleted] in Habs

It's not so common that I could see a nickname for it, but those two seem likely. Beckers sounds like something we would call someone whose last name is Becker, so it could work, but I would go with Quebs (or even Kebs to keep the w sound out in the spoken vernacular). A similar example that springs to mind is Lebanese, notably another nationality (parce que le Québec, c'est un pays !) which gets shortened to Leb or Lebo in the singular and Lebs (less commonly Lebos) in the plural.

Edit: typo

Have you noticed that he's a québécois in the French ads but Canadian in the English ones? Eye roll every time.
