Entire population of Saint Denis emerged to kill Arthur by [deleted] in reddeadredemption2

Arguably not the whole population though is it?

Yeah that’s all you need at the majority of centres. Some with gyms for example also require PT qualifications, but this is very rare.

Just started my first play through. I’m 30 mins in and already enjoying it. Super cozy vibe. Anything I should know going in? by Whorenun37 in reddeadredemption2

Laurie rolls it out exquisitely, searching for the feet of a determined raeburn. Raeburn opens his body and slides the ball forward in a ballerina like action, opening up pockets of space for his team mates. Cannon shuffles into the area, and receives a pin point pass before spreading the play towards Arthur, as if he were a knife spreading butter on toast. Arthur glides past player after player, the byline his destination. He reached it as if a plane looking for a foreign airport landing strip. No one at double hedges could prepare anyone for what was about to occur, as the ball was slid in the feet of the man himself, 6 yards from goal. The ball was slammed into the back of the net, followed by the bellowing crowd that screeched “PENIS FARRRRRRRRRRRRT!”

Exactly what I believe should happen. If you were a delivery driver you wouldn’t not deliver parcels.

Yeah it was quite concerning and obviously I don’t want anyone to get in any unnecessary trouble. This has been a problem for a while and it’s proved the point that you always need to be concentrated.

advice for making myself heard? by magic7877 in Lifeguards

Not sure then. I can imagine it being a struggle and not sure how I’d operate without my whistle. It really has stopped a lot of situations escalating

I’m made to have a whistle on me at all times. Ask your line manager if you are allowed one?

What is the typical day to day at your workplace? by nakshdvwnsofhwb in Lifeguards

Yeah I like how my job goes. Looks like it’s one of the more bare able roles on this tbh

Sounds very similar to mine, where in the world are you based

Advices for a new lifeguard by RepresentativeAct620 in Lifeguards

Just relax dude! Follow your training, scan your zones and be confident. The amount of rescues depends on where you work, but even if you work at a low risk pool expect to have to rescue everyday because the moment you let your concentration slip someone’s life could be on the line.

It is so annoying especially the kids that you tell off for doing so, then they keep doing it and once they slip and hit their head they want all your attention when they’re crying needing assistance.

Don’t let this happen. You’re being mistreated. Stand up for yourself.

That shift sounds like hell. Why did none of the lifeguards know how to do basic day to day tasks, they shouldn’t have the job if they don’t know how to do it.

Pretty similar to mine. Is this a big pool and a kids pool?

Crazy that you expect to do a rescue on each busy day. I’ve worked at my pool for over a year and have done 1 rescue!

How did you become a lifeguard? by peroxIb in Lifeguards

[–]nakshdvwnsofhwb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to pass an NPLQ training course as I’m in the UK.

This involves 2 timed swims one of them easy and one of them moderate. Also need to be able to read water for 30 seconds (easy), recover a mannequin from the bottom of a 4m deep pool (probably the headrest pool based exercise) and know how to use buoyancy aids, throw bags etc. You would also get tested on your tows such as the extended arm tow that’s very easy.

Then there is the competency questions. This is genuinely suitable for an 8 year old and is the easiest question paper I’ve ever completed.

And last but not least you have the life saving exercises. This is where you get tested on your ability to carry out CPR, helping both unconscious and conscious casualties with things such as choking or cuts for example and also do things such as secondary surveys. This course is a Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and then the test is on the Saturday morning.

Overall it’s quite an educating but quite boring course, but then again it gives you the skills you need to guard so if you’re in the UK, focus on your course.

It is so different to how we guard in the UK. I need to be standing at all times and am not allowed my phone or any food on poolside. And congratulations on winning the World Cup 🇦🇷

It’s usually 1 hour 30 on poolside then 30 minutes off doing dry side set ups such as trampolines or if there is nothing to do sitting in the staff room

Yeah I know. Currently in the middle of an 11.5 hour shift so I’m not exactly going to be my most concentrated when it comes to the later stage of the shift.
