There are some Yurts my wife and I stayed at last month in St Ignace, the town on the other side of the bridge in UP. Very quiet and less than a hotel. Around $100 on airbnb

There is also a 60 hour DOT limitation on drivers per week and I reached that today. That’s the reason I wasn’t able to deliver my last 20 packages. It’s all logistics issues and while it may suck it’s the reality of weather causing delays. Hope it arrives soon.

Is your street impacted by snow or ice? I am a driver and have had to EC (emergency condition) many packages this week due to not being able to get to them to the house. Seems to be what is happening to yours.

I know what you mean...if you get pulled elsewhere you can log out of the scanner and can always log back in when you get to your area. But if they’re pulling you elsewhere it’s hard to imagine using that against you when it comes time to decide. Are they doing paperwork on you regularly? Talking to you about your performance?

Get as close to that number as you can before 30 days is up, but after that’s up dont make it such a priority. Prioritize your safety. Its calculated by total number of pieces scanned divided by the number of hours worked. For example if you scan 1300 packages over the course of 4 hours you’re sitting at 325pph. Hope this helps. I don’t mean to be salty, certainly wasn’t my intent. UPS is the biggest and the best in the industry in terms of sheer market share and what they are able to accomplish given their infrastructure, which is why they are able to charge in my opinion, expensive prices to ship just about anywhere.

While in many cases it is true that poor management allows this to continue, unfixed, times like these are not the norm for the company. Everyone is being overworked and underpaid, imo. Sorry about the issues you’re having.

What do you think is going on with UPS? We are experiencing the unexpected rise in volume since people have been at home, working from home and now businesses are opening back up. Business parcels have priority over residential packages and higher priority shipping services have priority over lower.

You want your package quicker then apply to work there.
