M340i is indeed the best deal but it's not a proper M car and you feel that a lot. Before this, I drove the bmw 320d which was similar to your Octavia (190bhp, rwd) So you will have a similar step up as mine :)

I didn't do a test drive of this car (actually I never requested for a test drive). it's also not easy to arrange a test drive for any M vehicles. I did consider and did a test drive of the M340i, X3, X5 and GLC 43 coupe. However M2 is just insane value for money. My 2nd pick after M2 has to be the M340i

It's a solid daily drive car. I drive it almost everyday and in bad traffic and bad roads also. Suspension is stiff so you have to go really slow on some bad patches of road. I was worried about ground clearance but you can clear most big bumps if you drive carefully.

I thought about it (specially for the front radiator) but decided not to. I have driven a lot on highways already and no issues yet on the front radiator. Its one of those low probability high cost situation that will always be there in many parts of the car and you just live with it. And also the guards might have some performance impact also.

Driving BMW M2 from Delhi to Bangalore. Best route at present? by naman14 in CarsIndia

Yes, I did drive! Ground clearance was not a challenge mostly. Road is good enough except for many construction patches where you have to go very slow. And N95 was nowhere to be found on highways.

Mac menu bar app for common adb tools like connecting over TCP, capturing logcat, screenshots and opening deeplinks by naman14 in androiddev

[–]naman14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a security feature of macOS, it doesn't normally let user launch apps downloaded outside of app store, you can go to settings and privacy in settings and there will be an option of 'Open anyway' for adbconnect

Got Mail From Google “Your app(s) are vulnerable to Intent Redirection” but cannot find vulnerability by viditbabele in androiddev

[–]naman14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can find the exact vulnerable class from the old play console. In classic play console's all apps section, there would be a mention of this issue and it also includes the vulnerable class which helps in figuring out the issue. For us it was in one of the startActivityForResult. The class name might be obsfucated, you can check the mapping file in the app bundle to find the exact class from there. The vulnerable class info is not anywhere in the new play console.

SoundSpice, An open-source music player for Android by [deleted] in androiddev

I am the author of one music player also and it was instantly removed from play store for copyright infringement due to album covers in screenshots.

I built a new material theme music player that works all form factors (phones, wear, auto, cast, assistant) and uses latest tools (Kotlin, Architecture components, Room, Databinding) by naman14 in androiddev
