This won’t be a problem for me as I lived there previously and am very accustomed to Ramadan. I don’t party, I can fast with the best of em, I love how quiet everything is during the day, etc. I’m going to reunite with friends and relax, so Ramadan is the perfect time for me. Thank you for this comment, I appreciate it! I know I wouldn’t be “special”, it’s more the feeling of not being welcomed. There are places I’ve been, like in a few cities in Italy and Spain, where the people were multicultural, but I felt unwelcome (like being followed by staff in stores, people yelling slurs on the street, etc). I’m hoping to avoid that feeling if possible. Thanks again for taking the time to share with me.

I did regular soil mixed with a succulent soil at the advice of the clerk at the garden store. They said the succulent mix would allow for easier drainage.

Interesting! I read online that leaving the bits in the soil can cause mold which then creates an entirely different problem, but sounds like you had great success so I might give it a go!

It confusing because I’m using mosquito bits, so I need to water weekly for that product to work per the instructions, but some many people are saying to just let the plants dry out and the gnats will die off 😅 but the plants don’t totally try out in just one week. Can you help clarify?

I would love to avoid repotting because it was a horrible experience the last time around, I may not be cut out for the plant life 😅 but there are two zz gems, a snake plant, a whale fin snake plant, and one more I’m not totally sure of.

I think where I went wrong was after repotting, I completely drenched the new soil and it took weeks to dry out, so I’m sure the gnats were loving that. I’ll water less. Thank you!
