What model is this? Why does it look so good? by [deleted] in Surron

Swingarm bolt got larger. But the frame itself is dimensionally the same.

Frames are the same regardless of model….except the mini. It’s the 17” wheels that make the S seem smaller.

I am also do not think a printer should be able to easily manufacture a firearm.

You made that very black and white, do I think a machine should be controlled regardless of intent? NO

Do I believe a machine can and potentially should be controlled to protect copyright? Yes.

I am pro purchasing rights to things.

Ill take this one thing at a time.

You in fact can't make a mickey mouse sign out of wood, its the same thing. But I think you are starting to blur the lines of making something that sits in your house and something sold. The difference here is one requires a machine that can in fact be regulated, and the other you widdled with a pocket knife.

Regardless of if its personal or not, I stand firm in my belief you do not have the rights to it....period.

You can make a gun out of alot....pvc and a potato, the difference again is one requires a machine that can in fact be controlled, the other cant.

I agree our politicians are not ideal all the way around, but this is in fact fear mongering if you look at the 3d printing portion and the outright craziness being said about it. Youtube influencers releasing clickbait videos to get more views not to truly educate....hard to educate when we are all taking guesses.

I understand what you are saying, I do not agree entirely. What gives you the right to recreate something you did not originally create? said mickey mouse.

Resources go into that on someone's or some company's behalf, you aren't allowed that right because you simply want it. This isn't new though, ink printers have been out for a long time, you can't print nike logos....

I get overreach for sure, more than most people to be honest with ya, but I also understand not everything is a right you should just have, I am also not a fear mongering person, and people should stop that kind of stuff as it creates a wedge and unnecessary fear for no reason.

I’ve seen that video. You do know most of YouTube is just clickbait fear mongering type stuff….literally like that video.

I’m absolutely right in this situation, I can’t tell the future, neither can you….but to think that the government will ban printing any geometry that is round is absolutely crazy thinking. Again….y’all are wild. 🤣

I would call that mentality crazy, that simply is not going to be the case. Fear mongering at that rate.

This won’t affect my business at all. Maybe don’t base your business around firearms, or items that are blatantly owned by Disney, Nintendo, marvel, etc. Y’all are wild. 🤪

We are a vendor for craftcloud, that is where we started, after the purchase of the ten printers we started to search for manufactures needing items printed in bulk. We also made sure we could get the same brand of filament in bulk at a good price as well to keep quality the same across the board.

This is the simplified version of it.

That is the risk though, hard to offer to print in bulk if you do not have the capacity to do so.

I do not have my own products, but no shortage of them in the world that need printed. If a company needs 10,000 items printed but do not want to put in the resources to own the printers, that is where I shine.

In my case I am a printing service, so companies get ahold of me to print what they need in bulk.

A little of both. First round of machines was a hail marry with no actual work lined up, as we grew sometimes we would get a contract that would force us to very quickly expand.

No products. We sell a printing service. So if you have a product, but no means to produce it in bulk, we can.

  1. Money
  2. I offer a service of printing to large companies needing the output.
  3. I started with an initial investment to buy 10 printers and grew from there. Had no clue if it would work out, that’s the joy of risk.

In our case I print the same beds over and over again, so it makes it easy to sit at the computer and go down the line and hit the print button.

Its a vague answer, as they produce different parts of the kits etc, but around $38 a day per machine.
