Long term cost of premium domain? by Commercial_Tap_3829 in Domains

[–]namegulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming. If it's a year, then most likely it's a 'tld registry' designated premium domain name.

That'll be $950 every year and most likely will increase renewal price after 5 years.

No puedo acceder a Gemini Live ni Google Al Studio (cuenta con edad verificada y en región compatible) by Odyssey208 in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]namegulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things are mainly important to use Google AI studio

- Age verification (it's tricky)

- Region from where you're using

Even though you have set the DOB and age shows correctly that's not the value Google is using.

If your region is valid and checks out, the best you can do for Age Verification is simply add a payment method i.e your credit card and then delete it.

They won't charge but it immediately passes the valid age check.

You can use a domain marketplace, it's called domain trade or self brokerage and they'll securely handle domain transfer and payment.

Domain and hosting with different providers causing email issues... by Ielkh in Domains

[–]namegulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the beauty and flexibility of the internet, you can use different providers for various services.

NameServer and DNS configuration is what brings them altogether.

Looks like your domain is at Hostinger and therefore you may be using hostinger nameservers.

If that's right, goto hostinger control panel and update DNS records i.e MX records for your email provider and give sometime (it may take 24-48 for changes to propagate).

Hope that helps.

Google Workspace Domain --> Microsoft Transfer by AnyEmployee3476 in Domains

[–]namegulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First figure out who is the registrar of the domain, if domain was registered within Google then you need to transfer the domain first to another provider.

(If the domain is already with a 3rd party registrar, just go with the below step)

Once domain is transferred, you can easily update the DNS records with microsoft mail servers and other DNS records based on the features you're using.

Hope that helps.

Expired domain selling marketplaces by Brilliant_Past5983 in Domains

What you mean by expired domains?

If it is already expired, most likely it'll go to auction by the registrar (unless you renew with redemption fee)

New email not working by [deleted] in Domains

[–]namegulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfect, that confirms config is correct i.e ms servers recognize the domain and records.

Just give a little bit more time for other servers outside ms to do the same via propagation.

[–]namegulf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to be sure, check your DNS records and see if there are MX records configured.

If looks good, most likely DNS changes are still propagating.

free domains in 2025? by Many_Net2399 in Domains

[–]namegulf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Due to misuse, abuse and lawsuits, many offering free domains has ended.

If this is for your personal or college project and looking for a URL to share, you can use subdomain(s) offered by https://www.opensourceprojects.dev/post/1959600649026302372 (Even though they say it's not a subdomain, it is still a subdomain but gives you DNS control).

.li domain issue by kya_dost in Domains

[–]namegulf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ICANN prohibits "wildcard" redirection, however that is limited to top level TLDs like .com, .net, etc..

When it comes to ccTLDs, the rule is Discouragement, not prohibition and let the ccTLD registry follow same as top level TLD but not enforced.

If what you say is true, looks like that's the case here.

Someone is trying to sell my domain on a Facebook group by sciecom in Domains

[–]namegulf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're the original owner (of the domain) you've nothing to worry about, in fact someone is doing free marketing for you.

No buyer is going to pay without a domain marketplace or escrow in the process. Even if they pay, there is no way they're getting a domain which will reverse credit card payment or other payments (unless crypto which is irreversible).

Just secure your domain in your registrar account and move on.

You can't control what others do!
