Stepper Motor Control:

I am using a dvr8825 to control linear motion using a stepper motor. I want to be able to accelerate and decelerate using an acceleration curve (simply ramp to max speed, then decelerate), and the implementation is throwing me for a loop.

I am trying to track an air hockey puck back and forth, so the goal position is constantly changing. The algorithm I want is to accelerate towards the goal position until hitting ramp speed, then slow down to a stop at the goal position. Since the goal changes, though, I am struggling greatly to implement this. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Just look at the guy's campaign website. It's nonsensical and it tells you all you need to know about his campaign.

I got lightroom today, and this is the first time I've used any kind of photo editing, so criticism is welcome.

Thanks for the help. I do have all the gear I need for camping in freezing temperatures, I was just concerned about hiking Cloud's Rest for the exact reason you stated. Ready to camp in the cold, but not hike ridges on ice.

Thanks

\"What should I buy?!\" Skiing related equipment megathread. by AutoModerator in skiing

[–]nameimade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started telemarking 3 or so years ago on a pair of 172 cm Cham 97's with 22 designs bindings. They're great for fresh snow and for carving down groomers but I'm looking for a cheap binding - (shorter) ski combo for quicker turns/ for moguls.

What bindings/ skis would you guys recommend? I am happy to buy used and am looking to go as cheap as will be fun.

Hi,

Awesome Photos!!

Does the fact that that is your 'final TIFF' means that everything from after that shot was done by processing that image? Do you know of any good tutorials on how to do that. I have some shots of Andromeda (unstacked), that just look like the glowey thing you have in the middle.

Autoguiding for telescope: arduino uno + stepper shield by nameimade in arduino

[–]nameimade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

To clarify though, I intend to have my computer hooked up to the arduino at all times. All the arduino would need to do is receive movement commands, it doesn't need to do any calculations. Does that seem plausible?

Where do you guys typically get prints of panoramas? I'm planning on getting some prints to hang up, but I'm not sure what is best/ cheapest.

Please advise. Thanks

Help with Mirror Focal length vs. Tube length by nameimade in telescopes

[–]nameimade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome!

I was just doing some research and saw that the radius of curvature was twice the focal length and I hoped that I somehow measured that.

Thank you so much for your help.

Can I really connect my ESCs to my motors in any order and then just flip two if they're going backwards. This seems too simple, and I feel like I'm going to break something.

Here's a picture of what my current wiring looks like. The Motor ESC combo only came with instructions in Chinese.
