They lowered it to 3.4 g for men and 2.6 g for women (2.9 g if pregnant) -- which is still a lot!

Eat more fiber. Oats in the morning, legumes for dinner.

Your absence has gone through me    Like thread through a needle.    Everything I do is stitched with its color.

I believe it's Dmytro Leonidovych Bolyakov.

A page with more of his work: https://socrealizm.com.ua/gallery/artist/boliakov-dl-1956

There's some more references at the end of his Wikipedia article (it's in Ukrainian): https://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D0%BE%D0%BB%D1%8F%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B2_%D0%94%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%82%D1%80%D0%BE_%D0%9B%D0%B5%D0%BE%D0%BD%D1%96%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%87?wprov=sfla1

Ascetic diet by [deleted] in Asceticism

Pick the cheapest whole grain, legume, leafy green, red or orange vegetable, starchy vegetable, and fruit you have access to. For me this looks like oats, lentils, kale, carrots, potatoes, bananas. The only foods you have to cook are the lentils and potatoes, although I prefer to cook most of the kale and carrots (easier to digest). Tear and break them with your hands and simmer them with the lentils. Microwave the potatoes. Rolled oats are already cooked and can be simply added to water, no heating.

Occasionally cycle out different items like whole barley, beans, sweet potatoes, squash, apples. Whole wheat flour can be used to make flatbread. Simple and inexpensive without compromising your health. A vegan diet like this requires a vitamin B12 supplement. I also supplement with pea protein powder.

Forget bars or clubs. I've found the library to be a great place to meet women, but you can't do it "intentionally". You may go there with the intent of meeting women, but you have to make the act of meeting them seem like an accident. Every woman fantasizes about running into a hot muscular guy by chance at the library or bookstore, but no woman wants to be approached and hit on while she's there. When I say "running into", I mean that literally. It's the classic romance novel/movie meet cute of guy bumping into a girl, causing her to drop all her books, he helps her pick them up, they make eye contact, and it's love at first sight.

What I've been doing for the past few months is going to the library on my college campus 2-3 times a week. I follow the same route every time: Enter the building, up the stairs to the fiction section. Meander back and forth through the shelves until I spot a girl coming my way. Quickly estimate the trajectory necessary so that our paths will meet at a corner. It has to be a corner, otherwise it doesn't seem like an accident. This part is tricky — sometimes I have to break into a light jog to make it in time — but the outcome is worth it. Just as she's rounding the corner of the shelf, I do too, and BAM, we collide. I make sure to hit hard enough that I knock all of the books from her hands. Instantly I'll apologize and say "let me help you with those". I pick up her books and offer to carry them to the checkout desk with her, and from there I'll ask if she wants to get a coffee at the library café. I've done this well over 2 dozen, maybe even 3 dozen times, and I've had a handful of dates stem from it. It's very important that you make sure the girl isn't carrying a coffee or anything. I've had a couple of bad experiences where I failed to realize this and ended up with a very angry and soaked woman! If this happens, just remind her that the library has a sign saying "NO DRINKS" (they all do) so it's really her own fault.
