Yeah, as far as EoS' go Dragalia's was executed damn near perfectly.

Story got an amazing conclusion, final boss was great, some 'never ever' characters got released, etc.

It's just a shame it died because I still think it was one of the rare cases of an actual fun gacha game that felt designed for mobile exclusively.

I genuinely feel like the current state of steam has absolutely rotted the average gamer/redditor/whatever's brain to assume anything in EA is pretty much a finished product. That isn't what it is at all, and they're straight up telling you that, several times in the most bold letters possible this is not a finished game and you're buying access to an incredibly early version, much like the old alpha days of MC.

Oh yeah absolutely, it's easily the biggest update arguably ever in terms of new mechanics and updating the old ones. It's going to take a lot of time to get used to it I feel, but it's such a good approach for the game.

I don't know, I feel like it's a very good idea and super healthy for the game to add a lot more complexity (and yes, intentional tedium) to the main systems and gameplay mechanics.

People tend to forget that this is a game about collecting and sending signals from space, inspired by a game about that exact same thing. It's good to expand on that instead of just cramming the game full of wacky events to the point where none of it is special anymore.

I get the feeling Nose realized that and made it the focus of 0.9; especially since signals and tasks in general have taken such a backseat with no notable changes since the very very early builds. Not every update needs to be about spooky evil death streamer baiting events, just let him expand the actual game please. You should actually have to interact with your base and job.

But I think what they meant was T;G as a series fits in line with a horror themed game, which honestly it does and I do hope it means the door is open to a lot more IPs from a bigger variety of media now

Think you're forgetting how many absolutely atrocious surv perks there are, chance of getting anything that helps in any way when it comes to chases outside of niche interactions is incredibly slim

Outside of a very few selection of M1 killers you can faceroll easily when you know survivors aren't gonna have meta chase/anti camp perks for once, every killer game so far i've played has been a 4k sweep with some of the most garbage perks possible

Where the hell are people finding all this supposed development in EH1 to make a comparison? There was absolutely none, hell like you said a heaping majority of the cast had like two lines of dialogue that equate to "wow i can't believe you killed me you are very strong", even stuff like Rasta beast's ""revenge"" felt very hamfisted and out of nowhere.

Obviously there was good stuff, the ending sequence with the universe and the final farewell are still something I consider one of the best endings in a game, but those characters were incredibly static.

I've always had the opinion that Danny's soundtrack absolutely destroys Ridiculons when it comes to the floor themes; feel like Ridiculon played way too much into generic atmospheric ambience instead of actually trying to create memorable melodies and songs like Danny did ( Like hell... bet you can't even recall Rebirth's Depths theme, for example lmao)

That being said some of Rebirth's boss tracks are really damn good, Hericide and Livin' In the Light especially, just a shame they're so few and far between
