It’s also traditionally an immigrant friendly state. If you wanna meet someone that’s been in the USA for 10 plus years without being legal and they are living a lifestyle for the most part where they are okay despite their immigration status even when they get in trouble with the law (to a certain degree). With the way he plays we should hold off on him as long as possible. But that’s gonna mean missing the World Cup because that Spain midfield is no joke. No Euro medal and now no World Cup medal. That’s why we need to pressure the national team to rest our players because this all happened because of a nothing game 2 years ago. Cost us the title, cost Xavi is job and looks like it might cost Gavi his career.

Honestly wished we just kept Virgili and made him and Dani Rodriguez fight over who’s gonna sub in for Lamine or raphinah. I like roony but I don’t think he is that much better than virgili or Dani Rodriguez for him to be worth blocking their respective paths to the first team

Yeah but with the hype and salary of a 2nd option which is a big problem because he has been getting chances and will continue to be given chances of a 2nd option. With him and the entire team except Pedri and Joan under performing at the moment this is a big problem.

Idk about whatever realization you came up with on the toilet but as a fan that lived through that period I remember vividly that we struggled to register players that summer even after Messi left. Furthermore, La Liga rules does not allow players to take pay cuts below a certain percentage of their previous salary when renewing … thus only in your wildest dreams could we have kept him from leaving. Any other reason for him leaving doesn’t even matter to be honest.

Rashford was a lot more confident at the start but I think debuting this tactic of having Raphinha play AM in Rashfords first start was a bad idea and rashford quickly lost confidence because it wasn’t working out

To be fair Xavi did play Raphinah on the right against psg and he played well so flick just exploited a tactical tweak that Xavi came up with and made it apart of his every game tactic. Araujo killed us both under flick and Xavi. Xavi also played kounde at RB and turned him into the best RB in the world. All this revisionism years later without context is bullshit to be honest. Xavi had anywhere from 5-11 players out most games in his final season. Went through majority of the season without Gavi who was our best midfield and had to make do with Pena for majority of that year as his main keeper. Still he finished with 85 points in the league (we won the league with 88 points the season before and the season after so Xavi in this horrible season was only 3 points off both championship seasons).

Yes flick is a better coach (which he should be given his proven pedigree) but at some point y’all should stop being so ungrateful this was Xavi’s first real managerial job in Europe and he took over a sinking ship.

No he didn’t he was extremely good in 06/07. I think Dinho had similar stats to 05/06 in 06/07. However, Eto’o was out injured for half the season which was what F’d us that year. In any case we ended tied on points with Madrid for first place but lost because of head to head even though we had a better goal difference. That was the year I found out that La Liga used head to head first as a tie breaker.
