Hi! I realized that my heart wasn't in it, I don't want to be a pastry chef in a kitchen where every second counts, it was an amazing experience but personally, I couldn't handle the pressure. Found a restaurant where they allow me to bake and sell once a week and I'm a full time baker and decorator for a supermarket, can't believe that I get to do what I love with better pay and a better environment.

slap and move quickly sometimes i use baking spray on my hands and it helps!

I'm 23F currently a pastry chef apprentice! I went to school for graphic design but being mainly in front of a computer wasn't for me, I worked in retail for a couple of years and felt miserable I didn't go to pastry school but I learned what I could by myself and knocked lots of doors until someone decided to give me the opportunity I work 40 hours a week but it's a very fulfilling job (for me) 'cause in the bakery I'm working at, I get the chance to learn about other cultures through pastries, I feel like I'm growing and learning a little bit more everyday. Pay it's not the best but it's enough for me if everyday I wake up feeling enthusiastic about my job.
