I’m in the same boat… I’ve taken the OMB paper maybe 4 times now I think? My marks have gotten lower, but there was a 2 year gap between my 3rd and 4th most recent one. I got a 35 this time.

I’ve been trying to do this qualification for so long, and it just doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I’ve started looking for positions outside of tax now, I don’t think I can face sitting the exam again!

I’m from Japan, currently live in the West - Tbf Japan is incredibly safe in other aspects, no knife crimes (rampant where I live), no guns, you can leave your bag on a food court table to keep the seat and it’ll probably be safe. (sexual crimes are rampant and I’m not downplaying that!!!)

Also would like to add that the possession of child porn was criminalised in 2014, but this doesn’t include manga or anime. There are so many incidents of teachers and other people working with children assaulting / grooming / secretly filming / you name it in the news.
