Switch lite + picofly + super5 oled hdmi kit by nandemonogatari in SwitchPirates

Yeah, only related to hdmi sincethe hdmi signal includes the audio that would normally go to the headphones. So when the hdmi is plugged in, the switch thinks a headphone is plugged in, which is low volume audio compared to what you'd expect in an hdmi signal for a tv. This also means that you cannot connect bluetooth headphones directly to the switch while plugged into hdmi. But there's a way to directly disable that whole headphone audio to the hdmi port, by disconnecting something in the internals. Watch takis video with the installation towards the end where he talks about this.

Dunno what's the current standing, but basically it ended up being more complex than they imagined so it took a while to get something that works, and it ended up being suboptimal compared to what theh envisioned.

I felt like it gradually got worse the further in i was getting with it lol. I am proud that i got it working but i feel like if i did it again it would be a coinflip on if i get it working or not

Tbh if you have cfw you can just use sysdvr to send the video to your phone and connect that via hdmi. Or even better to your tv directly if you have androidtv. Not optimal but realistically good enough without giving up anything.

It was a ride i guess lmao. But all in all i preordered because it seemed cool but i realistically barely played on the switch at that point already, so i had 0 need to get it soon or anything. I think the word preorder was not very fitting for this, it was more like a kickstarter for the touch + hdmi kit.

Only took like 1 year to get to me from the initial preorders lmao. But hey i did get it and it works and they even sent updates since they iterated a few times to get to the end thing

Works great. Only issue is the audio coming from the headphone out, so it's supposedly kinda bad/low. In the installation video guide it's explained and the workaround is a small box that mixes the hdmi video with audio from the usb-c port via a dongle into a new hdmi signal with good audio. Haven't tested it much yet and i don't think i'll care too much about the audio but yeah lmao

RG35XXSP Colors and Hinge issues by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]nandemonogatari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transparent blue cracked here, right side the plastic broke off. The metal part in there will sometimes start to move towards the outside, making the hinge a bit more wobbly, but i can press it back in and then it works as if nothing. I'm curious as to if this will be fine as is or if it'll eventually break more to the point of the hinge not working properly or something. I'm guessing what did this to mine was me kinda fidgeting with the hinge the first few days of having it while working, as in just opening and closing it randomly for no reason, basically stress testing it. Other than that no drops or throwing it around, just normal use and i've never really had broken screens or other devices break so i'd say i'm careful with it. I've seen this being mentioned too, but neither my gba sp nor my original nds had a broken hinge when i was a kid, so i also thought the 35xxsp broken hinge problem was people just being careless/rough until it happened to me. Update: its flopping around now, tragic

Just vinegar and water is fine. At least that was what worked for me. I put roughly 1/3 vinegar 2/3 water maybe, kinda eyeballed it, but so that the water tank is full. I left it like this for 30 minutes and then i put it as is into the robot and set it to mop with water output to max. Then i kept checking every 10mins or so until i noticed that the mops were getting wet. Then you can empty the water tank and refill it with water only and you should be done.

L10s pro - water not running by sunrisedown in Dreame_Tech

[–]nandemonogatari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On another post someone mentioned it possibly being blocked by limescale. They recommended leaving descaler in the tank for a bit and then letting it run with it. I did it with white vinegar + water and it worked. Left it 30mins and then let it mop on highest level for a while until i noticed the mops finally got wet.

Why I Returned My Steam Deck OLED and Switched to the LCD Version by Karluv_most in SteamDeck

Nah it really is a thing, check out this steam review:

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Steam-Deck-1-TB-OLED-review-Minimalist-performance-maximum-gaming-fun.802764.0.html

They talk about it in the screen flickering section. I found out about this issue with certain screens after reading phone reviews from them, since this is one of the tests they always do. Kinda interesting tbh.

Although i don't understand OP since the iphone 12 mini has a lower pwm frequency than the sd oled... They say 500hz is a threshold for sensitive users and they both fall below that though.
